JoSAA Counselling 2019 - Joint Seat Allocation Authority is conducting the counselling of JoSAA 2019 for all qualified candidates. The seventh round of seat allotment has been declared on July 18 while the first to fifth round seat allotments for JoSAA 2019 was declared on June 27, July 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 respectively in online mode. Candidates can login to their portal and check seat allotment status. Registrations for JoSAA 2019 counselling has been closed on June 25. All qualified candidates were required to register for JoSAA counselling 2019 in order to get admission in any of the participating institutes. A total of 2531 seats have been added for EWS quota across institutes from the academic session 2019. JEE Main candidates are eligible only for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs while JEE Advanced candidates are able to apply for all institutes including IITs. Allotment of seats through the counselling of JoSAA 2019 will be done as per the merit, preference and category of the candidates. The counselling of JoSAA 2019 is conducted for all qualified candidates to provide admissions into IITs, IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs as per their individual eligibility. It was necessary for all of the candidates to register for the counselling session. Those candidates who failed to register were not allowed to participate in the counselling process.

Step 1 - RegistrationFirstly, the candidates had to complete the process of registration and choice filling of JoSAA 2019. This was essential to participate in JoSAA 2019 counselling. The registration for JoSAA 2019 was available from June 16 to 25, 2019.
To log into their account, the candidates had to submit their JEE Main 2019 roll number and password. However, JEE Advanced 2019 qualified candidates had to enter their respective password. After logging into the account, the candidates were able to check their details retrieved from the JEE Main 2019 database.
The candidates had to change their password and were also able to modify their contact details.
Step 2 - Selecting and Locking of Choices
In the next step, the candidates had to select their preferred choice of institute and courses. The candidates were able to check the list of available choices as per their eligibility. JEE Main 2019 qualified candidates are eligible for admissions into IIITs, NITs and GFTIs through JoSAA 2019. However, JEE Advanced 2019 qualified candidates are able to apply for IITs along with the above mentioned institutes. All choices had to be selected according to preference. The candidates also got a chance to interchange or rearrange their options. After selecting their preferred options, the candidates could click on “I agree to lock my choices”. The candidates had to provide their JEE Main 2019 roll number and password or JEE Advanced password to print out the confirmed choices. See the JoSAA Seat Matrix before applying
Step 3 - JoSAA 2019 Seat Allotment
The seventh round seat allotment has been declared on July 18 where as first to sixth round of seat allotment for JoSAA 2019 was released on June 27, July 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 respectively. Candidates who have registered and locked their choices are allotted seats according to their rank, preferences, category and availability of seats. The result of seat allotment is announced in online mode. In total, seven rounds of JoSAA 2019 counselling and seat allotment will be conducted by the authorities.
Step 4 - Downloading of Allotment Letter and Seat Acceptance Fee Payment
Allotted candidates will have to download JoSAA 2019 provisional seat allotment letter. Also, payment of the seat acceptance fee has to be done by the candidates. The e-challan has to be downloaded and the candidates will have to pay Rs. 35,000 (General candidates) or Rs. 15,000 (SC/ST/Gen-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD/SC-PwD or ST-PwD) . Payment can also be done through SBI Net Banking.
Step 5 - Reporting at Centres
The candidates who have been allotted seats will have to report to their respective reporting centres for document verification. Original and photocopies of the documents should be presented by the candidates. Failure to get the documents verified will lead to the cancellation of admission. Candidates should remember to report to the corresponding reporting centre of their allotted institute. Check the list of reporting centres of JoSAA 2019

Step 6 - Confirmation of Admission at Allotted Institutes
Finally, the candidates will have to report at the allotted institutes for confirmation of admission. After paying the remaining amount of fee, the candidates will be able to confirm their allotted seat.

Hello Aspirant, JEE mains 2020 is conducted by NTA(National testing Agency) in tow phases, the first one in january 2020 and the latter in april 2020, I prefer the NCERT textbooks is a very good choice as handful of questions are asked on theory based in NCERT. For more ways of understanding how the questions are given, you can have a look at disha experts solved papers book.(Hindi).
