Jain Entrance Test (JET) 2018

JETJain Entrance Test (JET) 2018 – The Jain University has released the counselling list for all the qualified candidates. The JET 2018 counselling will be conducted on April 25 and 26 in offline mode. JET 2018 was concluded on April 22 in both online and offline mode. The result of JET 2018 was released on April 23. All the registered candidates were able to download their JET 2018 admit card by entering their application number and date of birth. However, the application form of JET 2018 was available till April 20 in online mode. Candidates who are willing to get admission to B.Tech programmes offered by Jain university need to check the eligibility criteria of JET 2018 before applying for the entrance exam. In case, the eligibility criteria of the candidate do not match with the prescribed eligibility criteria of JET 2018, then he or she will not be able to appear in the JET exam. JET Counselling 2018

Jain University has released the JET 2018 counselling list for all the qualified candidates. The University will conduct the counselling of JET 2018 from April 25-26, 2018 on the basis of the candidates' performance in the entrance exam. The qualified candidates of the entrance exam will be invited via email from the university to appear in the JET 2018 counselling. Candidates will be given provisional admission based on their marks obtained in the exam during the selection process of JET counselling 2018. Such candidates will be required to produce a proof of having passed the qualifying examination.

Candidates will have to produce the following original documents at the time of JET 2018 counselling.

  • Class X & Class XII/ PUC/ SYJC/ Equivalent exam (Original +2 copies)
  • 10 Passport Size Photographs
  • 10 Stamp Size Photographs
  • Transfer Certificate form school/college last attended (Original +2 copies)
  • Migration Certificate (Original +2 copies) (For Non- Karnataka Students)
  • Caste Certificate and Income Certificate (Original + 2 copies) **If required
  • Parent/Guardian’s PAN card photocopy
  • Provisional Admission Offer Letter (Original to be collected from Jain University Admissions Office, Jayanagar 9th Block)
  • Provisional Admission fee receipt photocopy
  • Candidates will have to pay the balance fees at the time of the submission of original documents at Kanakpura campus.

JET Seat Allotment 2018

Candidates will be allotted seat in JET 2018 on the basis of their ranks obtained in the entrance exam and choices filled during the counseling procedure. JET 2018 seat allotment procedure will be conducted by the university in offline mode. Candidates will have to be physically present to attend the seat allotment of JET 2018, otherwise, their seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate. The allotment of seat in JET 2018 will ensure the admission of the  candidate in the university.

JET Admit Card 2018


The admit card of JET 2018 was released by Jain University on April 16 in online mode. It is to be noted that JET 2018 admit card was accessible to only those candidates whose applications were accepted successfully. JET admit card 2018 included candidates' details like name, photograph, signature, exam name, date, and timings along with name and complete address of their allotted exam center. It is important to know that entry without JET 2018 admit card was restricted inside the examination hall. Candidates were able to download JET 2018 admit card from this page by using their JET 2018 application number and date of birth. 


JET Mock Test 2018

Jain University has released the mock test for JET 2018. Candidates who are appearing for the entrance exam are suggested to take the JET mock test 2018 to check their preparation level. JET Exam Centres 2018


The exam centres of JET 2018 were the prescribed venues where the entrance exam was conducted. Candidates have to fill in the JET exam centres 2018 of their choice while filling in the application form of JET 2018. JET Exam Pattern 2018


The exam pattern of JET 2018 was prescribed by the university for the candidates. JET 2018 exam pattern includes type, number and pattern of the questions along with exam mode, language, total number of questions, marking scheme and time allotted to complete the exam. JET Sample Papers 2018


Jain University does not release the sample papers of JET 2018. However, if they do, JET 2018 sample papers will be updated here for candidates to practice better for the exam. The sample papers of JET 2018 will help the candidates appearing in the entrance exam have an idea of the question paper. Candidates will be able to work on their speed, efficiency and time management skills by practicing JET 2018 sample papers and hence prepare better. The flaws of the candidates in terms of conceptual clarity and understanding of the syllabus will also be highlighted if candidates practice JET sample papers 2018 in abundance.


JET Answer Key 2018


The university does not release the answer key of JET 2018, however, if released this year, it will be updated on this page for candidates to check and download it. Candidates will be able to check their answers as marked in the exam with the ones provided by experts in JET 2018 answer key. Candidates will be able to calculate their scores by using the answer key of JET 2018 and hence estimate their rank in the entrance exam.


JET Cutoff 2018


The cutoff of JET 2018 will be the minimum marks required to get admission in the university and course. JET 2018 cutoff will be decided by the university for different categories like general, SC, ST & OBC and different branches of engineering like eletrical, mechanical, civil etc. The factors responsible for making of JET cutoff 2018 will be the number of candidates, previous year cutoff trends, difficulty level of the exam and number of seats in the university. JET Result 2018


The result of JET 2018 has been announced by the university on April 23, 2018 for all the candidates who have appeared in the exam. The name, roll number, marks scored and rank obtained will be reflected in the result of JET 2018. Candidates will be able to check their JET result 2018 from this page by using their login address and password. On the basis of JET 2018 result, candidates will be considered for further admission procedure to B.Tech programmes offered by the university, otherwise not.


JET Application Form 2018


The application form of JET 2018 has been released on November 6, 2017, for all the candidates in online mode. Candidates were required to fill and submit the JET application form 2018 along with the prescribed application fee on or before the last date which was April 20, 2018.

Step 1 – Registration


Candidates will have to register themselves first to be able to fill the application form of JET 2018. The following steps have to be followed by candidates for registration.

  • Click on the link given on this page.

  • Candidates will have to create a new account by providing their username, email address, password, confirm the password provided, valid contact number and visible code.

  • After entering all the details, candidates will receive a confirmation on the email address provided by them.

Step 2 – Login


Candidates will have to follow the steps mentioned below to login:

  • Candidates will have to login using their email address and password.

  • Candidates will have to select the programme type as undergraduate programme, name of the programme as B.Tech or Bachelor of Technology and name of the course they want to enroll into.

  • After this, candidates need to submit the application form by clicking on “Create Application”.

  • The application fee for the course selected will be reflected and candidates will have to click on “Apply Now” to pay the fees.

Step 3 – Filling the details required


Candidates will have to enter the following details in the online application form of JET 2018.

In case, candidates have taken any competitive test they have to mention the scores of the test along with its name and percentage.


If the candidate has pursued his diploma course, then they would have to mention their Institutions name, board, total marks obtained, total percentage or CGPA and year of passing 


Additional Information:

  • Candidates will have to provide the additional information like extra curricular activities, they have been a part of.

  • Candidates will also have to answer that how they know about the university.

Step 4 - Uploading of documents


Candidates need to upload the following things before submitting the application form of JET 2018:

  • Passport size photograph (Should be in .jpg or .png format and maximum file size allotted is 50 KB. While, size is 3.5 x 4.5cm)
  • Scanned image of the signature 
  • Scanned copy of class X marksheet (Mark sheet should be in .jpg, .png or .PDF format and maximum file size allotted is 100 KB)

  • Scanned copy of class XI marksheet

  • Scanned copy of class XII marksheet (For passout students)

  • Scanned copy of degree, marksheet, final year diploma mark sheet


Step 5 – Preview and Editing

  • After uploading the documents, candidates can choose to see the preview of their application form.

  • Candidates can edit any of the information they have filled as incorrect or incomplete in the application by clicking on the EDIT button.

Step 6 – Making of payment


Candidates can make the payment by following the steps given below:

  • Candidates will have to click on “Pay Now” to pay the fees.

  • The payment can be made by any of the following modes – debit, credit card, net banking etc.

  • Enter the details required and make the payment.

JET Application Fee


The application fee of JET 2018 will be prescribed by the university for all the candidates. It is to be noted that application form has to be submitted along with application fee otherwise it will be considered as incomplete and hence will be rejected. JET application fee has been provided in the table below.

JET Eligibility Criteria 2018


The eligibility criteria of JET 2018 include certain parameters on the basis of which candidates will be considered for the entrance exam, otherwise not. Candidates can check JET eligibility criteria 2018 from the following points:

  • Candidates need to have passed in PUC or ISC/ CBSE or equivalent board to be eligible for JET 2018. They must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one i.e Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject and have  secured minimum 60 % and above in PUC/ SYJC/ 12th or equivalent exam to be eligible for B.Tech programmes in JET 2018 in the subjects taken together. 

  • Candidates belonging to SC or ST categories need to have secured minimum 55% and above in PUC/ SYJC/ 12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for B.Tech programmes. 

  • Candidates awaiting examination results of 12th or equivalent exams can also apply for the entrance exam.
