As you have secured 83.67 percentile in the jee main paper 2 which was a good .
To calculate the rank.,
100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people. 112679 are the number of candidates appeared for January exam.

I got 97.7 in jee main and general category and tamilnadu. can I got nit tiruchy.

Sourandhi Saha Student Expert 23rd Jan, 2020
As you got 97.7 percentile in Jee Main January Session, your expected rank would be 19,987. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100. Based on previous years cutoff, it is hard to get computer science or electronics or mechanical branches in NIT Trichy at this rank, but you can get production engg, instrumentation, civil engg under home state quota. But you can get seat in other NITs under AIQ as you have a decent rank. You can check NITs cutoff from the link below-

Vishwaksen Gouda Student Expert 23rd Jan, 2020
Hello bankaru,
As you have secured 83.07 percentile in the jee main paper 2 it is good .
To calculate the rank for B.Arch:
100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 112679 are the number of candidates appeared for January exam.
So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 112679 /100.
Your estimated rank will be 19127 rank of crl . To that rank cut off . It will be very difficult to grab a seat any NITs . Because  the competition is very high
