
JEE Main Syllabus 2019 - NTA has released JEE Main 2019 syllabus for April exam on February 8. The JEE Main 2019 April attempt exam will be held from April 7 to 20 across various test centers in India and abroad. Candidates appearing for the national level engineering entrance exam must follow the prescribed JEE Main 2019 syllabus to prepare for it. The JEE Main syllabus 2019 is available for all the subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates can download the JEE Main 2019 syllabus from this page. During the press conference, Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of Ministry of Human Resource Development has specifically highlighted that the syllabus of JEE Main 2019 has not been changed; it will be same as the previous year. JEE Main syllabus 2019 contains subject-wise topics and sub-topics in detail, for both Papers I and II. With the help of JEE Main 2019, syllabus candidates can make their study plan accordingly and follow it. NTA will be conducting the second attempt of JEE Main 2019 between April 7 to 20 in eight different slots. The application form of JEE Main 2019 April attempt is available from February 8 to March 7 in online mode. The January session of JEE Main 2019 has been concluded by NTA in computer-based mode only on January 9, 10, 11, and 12 for Paper 1, while Paper 2 was conducted on January 8.

JEE Main Syllabus 2019 - Paper II (Aptitude Test B. Arch/ B.Planning)
Part I | Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal). |
Part II | Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms. Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, ect.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life. |
Note: For the aptitude test, candidates will have to bring along their own geometry box, pencils, erasers, colour pencils, and crayons.

JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019
NTA, the entrance exam conducting body has announced that JEE Main 2019 will be held as a Computer Based Test. For the drawing section of JEE Main Paper 2, the test will be pen and paper-based. However, the exam pattern of JEE Main 2019 has not varied much from the previous one.
JEE Main 2019 comprises of two papers – Paper I (B.E./ B.Tech) and Paper II ( B.Arch/B. Planning). Candidates may opt for any of the two papers, or they may appear for both. Mentioned below is the exam pattern of JEE Main 2019 for candidates reference.
Paper I
Will be held as Computer Based test
The test will be of 3 hours duration
The question paper of Paper I will include three sections of equal weightage: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics,
Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked where for every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, ¼ (one fourth) marks will be deducted.
Each question will be accompanied by four responses, out of which only one is correct
Paper II
The Mathematics and Aptitude section will be conducted as Computer Based Test while Drawing section will be held as Pen and Paper based test.
The duration of the exam is 3 hours
The paper will include three parts: Mathematics – Part I, Aptitude Test – Part II, Drawing Test – Part III
Objective type questions will be asked along with the drawing aptitude test.
Part 1 & 2 will have the negative marking where for every correct response 4 marks will be awarded and ¼ (one fourth) marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
