How to attempt JEE Main Mock Test 2021?
Candidates will be able to attempt the mock test of JEE Main 2021 at nta.ac.in without any login credentials. Check the detailed step by step procedure to attempt JEE Main 2021 mock test here-
Step 1: Visit nta.ac.in and click on the “Mock Test’ link.
Step 2: After clicking on Mock Test, a new window will appear on screen as shown below-
Candidates will have to “Select the exam they would like to appear” i.e. JEE Main and “Paper” from the drop down list. After this, candidates will have to click on the “Start Mock Test’ Link.
Step 3: Next, a login window having the default Username and password will appear on screen. Candidates will just have to click on the “Login” button to start the test.
Step 4: After login, general instructions for attempting JEE Main mock test will appear on the screen. Candidates will have to read all the instructions carefully, check the declaration box and click on the “Proceed” button.
Step 5: Next, JEE Main mock test will start and candidates can attempt the test. The mock test screen is shown below-
Step 6: Submit the test by clicking on the “Submit” button. Check the exam summary after the test.
Click on the “Yes” button to finally submit the test and click on “View Result” button to check the detailed result.

The status of questions and answers can be understood through color codes-

Navigating to a question in JEE Main 2021 Mock Test
In order to answer a question, candidates have to follow the given instructions-
Click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of the screen to go to that numbered question directly. Note that using this option does NOT save the answer to the current question.
Click on Save & Next to save the answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
Click on Mark for Review & Next to save the answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.
Answering a Question in JEE Main Mock Test 2021
Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question in the JEE Main mock test is-
To select an answer, click on the button of one of the options.
To deselect the chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the “Clear” button
To change the chosen answer, click on the button of another option
To save an answer, candidates must click on the “Save & Next” button.
To mark the question for review, click on the “Mark for Review & Next” button.
To change the answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that question for answering and then follow the procedure for answering that type of question.
Navigating through sections in JEE Main Mock Test
Sections in this question paper are displayed on the top bar of the screen. Questions in a section can be viewed by clicking on the section name. The section you are currently viewing is highlighted.
After clicking on the Save & Next button on the last question for a section, you will automatically be taken to the first question of the next section.
You can shuffle between sections and questions anything during the examination as per your convenience only during the time stipulated.
Candidates can view the corresponding section summary as part of the legend that appears in every section above the question palette.
How to register for JEE Main Mock Test at Practice Centre?
Candidates willing to appear for the JEE Main mock test 2021 at the designated Test Practice Centres (TPCs) will have to register for the test and book their slots. Check the detailed process of registration here-
Step-1: Firstly the candidates will have to visit the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). Click on the "Registration (Mock Test)” button.
Step-2: Next, candidates will have to register using their email or mobile number and password. Click on "Log In".
Step-3: Candidates will have to select their preferred date of mock test.
Step-4: The pin code/centre where the candidates want to attempt the mock test has to be entered.
Step-5: Candidates will have to select their preferred test centres from the list of options and click on the “Confirm Booking” button.
NOTE: The candidates will be able to book another slot only after their previously booked slot is complete.

According to the previous years cut off your percentile score would be around 99.45 - 99.5 percentile. And the corresponding rank for this percentile would be around 5000-5500. However these estimations are based on the previous years records and may change from year to year as they depend on various factors like difficulty of the examination, number of students that attempted the examination, etc. If it was an easy paper then you can assume the lower limit of percentile and higher limit of the mentioned rank.

What if a question is given wrong in JEE mains. Will marks be given to only the students who attempted or to all students ?

See if the question is wrong in JEE-Main then the marks will only be awarded to those candidates who have not opted any answer and left it un-attempted and if you will attempt that wrong question then negative marking will be given you on it. So unless you are sure about the answer you should not attempt the question in JEE-Main because it will make you only loss in your score. Exam pattern for JEE-Main 2021 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is described below :-
Paper 1 :-
> In JEE-Main 2021, paper 1 there will be total 90 question out of which you have to attempt only 75 (25 from each section) and there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)(20 compulsory questions) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value (10 numerical based questions out of which only 5 are compulsory to be attempted).
> In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.
> All question will be of 4 marks and in MCQs there will be negative marking of (-1) on incorrect attempt.
Paper 2 :-
In JEE-Main 2021, paper 2 there will be total 82 question out of which you have to attempt only 77 questions for 100 marks (20 questions from Mathematics section will be of MCQs and 5 questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value out of 10. There will be no negative marking for numerical value answers) . Second part will be for Aptitude section which will consists of 50 compulsory questions for 200 marks and in Part third there will be two questions for Drawing test comprises of 100 marks. How to answer a numerical type question in JEE mains for example I got answer to be 10/3 , so should I write it 3 or 3.3 or 3.33 etc. (Not mentioned in question to round off to nearest integer).

See for most accuracy you should write your answer up to two decimal places for numerical type questions, for e.g. if you are getting your answer to be 10/3 then write it as 10.33 but if you are getting some number like 10.399 then you can either write it as 10.39 or 10.4. Paper 1 :-
