What is the variation of rank in OBC-NCL and OPEN category in JEE ADVANCED?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th Feb, 2020

Hello,

The category rank and open category rank cannot be determined until the total number of candidates appeared in the exam and number of candidates in candidates in each category are known. All such data will be available after the examination. But the category rank will be lower than the open category rank and it depends on the total number of candidates belonging to a particular category appeared in the exam.So the count always changes.

Kerala state ews certificate is it applicable for jee main general ews category

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 20th Feb, 2020

If the Caste you belong comes under General Category in the Centre, then your EWS certificate that you have from Kerala is also valid for General EWS Category reservation. This is because EWS is a reservation for Candidates belonging to General Category and their family annual income from all sources is less than 8 lakhs per annum.
