JEE Main April 2020 - National Testing Agency (NTA) has released exam dates of both January and April sessions of JEE Main 2020. The exam authorities will release the official notification regarding the JEE Main April tentatively in the first week of February 2020. NTA will open the online registration from February 7 to March 7, 2020. The JEE Main 2020 for April session will be conducted from April 3 to 9 for paper 1 & paper 2 in online mode, except for the drawing part of Paper 2. All the papers of JEE Main exam will be conducted in computer based mode except for the drawing part of JEE Main Paper 2 which will be conducted in paper and pencil. Exam in all days will be held in the morning and evening shift at 255 test centres in India and 9 abroad. The admit card of JEE Main 2020 will be released by NTA from March 16, 2020. Candidates are advised to check eligibility details carefully before applying for JEE Main 2020. There are different branches and eligibility criteria are different for different branches. Check below to know the eligibility criteria of JEE Main April 2020.
He/She must have passed in class 12 or equivalent exam in 2019 or 2020 or appearing in the academic year 2020.
No age limit for appearing in the JEE Main 2020 examination. They should have also age meet the requirements of the Institution in which they want to take admission.
No. of Subjects in Qualifying Exam
He/She should have qualified in the qualifying examination or equivalent with at least five subjects in 12th class such as Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject/Other Subjects.
For B.Arch- He/She must have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
For B.Plan - Should have passed qualifying exam with Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Admission to courses in IITs, IIITs, NITs & CFTIs through CSAB
He/She should have qualified in the qualifying exam with a minimum of 75% marks. For SC/ST, minimum 65% marks needed.
As per the Government policies, a certain number of seats reserved in category-wise. The candidates those who apply for the reservation must have the required supporting documents. The table given below provides the category-wise reservation criteria of JEE Main April.

The application form of JEE Main April 2020 will be available from February 7 to March 7. Candidates will have to apply for the entrance examination in online mode only by accessing the official website. The JEE Main April 2020 application form will not be accepted by any other modes. All of the candidates should remember that the eligibility criteria must be checked clearly before applying for the entrance test.
The following steps are for the candidates who will appear in the session.
Step-1: Candidates will have to log in to the website by using their application number of the JEE Main January 2020.
Step-2: Choose the choice of course (Paper 1 or Paper 2), question paper medium and choice of four exam centre cities.
Step-3: Payment of application form can be done through debit/credit card or net banking or e-challan.
Step-4: After the successful fee payment, they will be able to print the acknowledgement page.
NOTE: In case the acknowledgement page is not generated after fee payment because of cancellation of the transaction and the amount will be refunded to the account. However, the candidate will have to make another transaction.
Before filling the online application form of JEE Main April 2020 for new registration, they have to be ready with the following things,

Step-5: Take a print out of confirmation page
The admit card of JEE Main 2020 for April session will be released by NTA on March 16. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the website by using application number and date of birth or application number and password. Aspirants who submit the online application form of JEE Main April 2020 will be eligible to download the admit card. After downloaded JEE Main April 2020 admit card, they have to check the details present on it are correct. If any discrepancies found on the admit card, they have to contact the exam authorities to clear the issue. The admit card of JEE Main 2020 is a mandatory document to appear for the entrance test. So, it should be preserved till the end of the admission process.

The syllabus comprises of all topics from each subject which are covered in the examination. The topic wise weightage of JEE Main April 2020 is highly uncertain, therefore, the students are advised to prepare the entire syllabus without skipping. JEE Main 2020 syllabus is mapped as per class 11 and class 12 NCERT textbooks to ensure uniformity across the country. The students comfortable with class 11th and 12th with PCM will find it simple while going through the syllabus of JEE Main 2020. Have a thorough analysis of the entire syllabus and accordingly formulate a suitable preparation strategy. National Testing Agency will release the list of JEE Main 2020 exam centres for April session along with the application form. The test takers need to select the desired exam centres while filling the online application form. They will be able to choose a maximum of four exam centres of JEE Main April 2020. The complete details of allotted exam centre will be mentioned clearly in the admit card of JEE Main examination. Last year, the exam authorities has allotted 264 exam cities in India and 9 in Abroad.
Students will have to register for availing the service of test practice centres (TPCs) to take the mock test of JEE Main April 2020. The details of TCPs will be released by NTA along with the release of the brochure. The students can practice and train themselves before the Computer Based Test (CBT) examination.
The mock test is available for both paper I & II in the official website of NTA. There are 18 mock test available for JEE Main Paper 1 and one mock test for Paper 2. To access the JEE Main 2020 mock test, candidates do not need to login to the website. If they want to take the test in offline mode, they can download the mock test from the website.
The official answer key of JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 will be released by NTA in online mode after the completion of the examination. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main answer key 2020 in the form of PDF. Except for official answer key, the unofficial answer key will also be released by various institute like Aakash Institute, Resonance, FIITJEE, Sri Chaitanya etc. Candidates can calculate their probable scores using the provisional answer key. Objections to the provisional answer key will also be accepted by the authorities. The final answer key of JEE Main 2020 will be issued by the exam authorities after considering the challenges.
The result of JEE Main April 2020 will be declared in online mode on April 30. To access the JEE Main April 2020 result, they will have to login to the official website by using the roll number and date of birth. The result will include All India Rank (AIR), total marks, subject wise scores, category rank and qualifying status.

NTA will prepare the rank list of JEE Main 2020 based on the four NTA scores.The scores for the first attempt as well as for the second attempt will be merged for compilation of results and preparation of overall JEE Main April 2020 cutoff or rank list. Best of the two NTA scores will be considered for the candidates who will give both the attempts of January and April.
Candidates will be able to get two types of JEE Main 2020 cutoff such as ‘the admission cutoff’ and ‘the qualifying cutoff’. The qualifying JEE Main cutoff 2020 is the minimum marks needed by a candidate to be eligible for appearing in JEE Advanced 2020. The admission cutoff of JEE Main 2020 will consist of the opening and closing ranks for admissions into the participating institutes. The admission cutoff will be released by JoSAA during the counselling process.
The counselling of JEE Main 2020 will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) in online mode. In order to participate in JEE Main counselling, the candidates have to register themselves on the official website and select their choice of course and college. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of score and choice filled by the candidates at the time of registration.
