• JEE Main 15 April Shift 2 exam is over. Candidates to the students the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. Physics was easy compared to Chemistry and Mathematics.

According to Ramesh Batlish Managing Partner & Head-FIITJEE Noida Centres, JEE Main April 15 shift 2 exams overall difficulty level is moderate. Maths was Moderate while Physics was reported as easy. The detailed analysis of JEE Main April 15 shift 2 are as follow.

Mathematics – Moderate Level. Weightage was given to chapters of Algebra and Calculus. In Calculus questions asked from Functions, Limits & Continuity, Application of Derivative, Definite Integrals, Area under curves, & Differential Equations. In Algebra- Matrices, Permutation & Combination, Vectors, 3D Geometry had more than one question, Progressions, Statistics, Binomial Theorem, Mathematical Reasoning & Probability.

Physics – Easy level. Questions asked from Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Power & Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics, SHM, Current Electricity, Magnetism, Gravitation, Modern Physics, Semiconductors, Communications Systems & Optics. Numerical based questions were reported as Easy to Moderate. More weightage is given to Class XII Chapters.

Chemistry - Easy To Moderate level. Inorganic Chemistry had more questions as compared to Organic & Physical Chemistry. The Numerical Section had questions from Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Ionic Equilibrium. There were mixed concept questions from Amines, Alcohols, Ethers & Phenols, Biomolecules, Polymers, Aryl & Alkyl halides in Organic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry had questions from s-block, p-block, Chemical Bonding, Co-ordination Compounds, Ores & Metallurgy.

According to Mr. Sharma, the overall JEE Main April 15 shift 1 was a balanced paper. Average students found Mathematics difficult. The difficulty level-wise order according to a large section of students is Mathematics > Chemistry > Physics. Below is the detailed analysis of JEE Main April 15 shift 1.

Chemistry - Most of the questions were theoretical. Overall, the questions from Organic, Physical and Inorganic Chemistry were evenly distributed in the paper. Questions from prominent chapters like Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Solid State, Coordination compounds, Amines, s-block and Aldehyde, Ketone and Carboxylic Acids were asked. Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform.

Physics - Questions from Mechanics, Current electricity, Semiconductors and Modern Physics were duly represented in the paper. Three to four questions from Mechanics were there in the paper.

Mathematics - The mathematics paper was moderate and slightly time taking due to the lengthy calculations involved. Questions were asked from Calculus, Complex Numbers, Sequence and Series, Vectors & 3D and Matrix and Determinants were there. Vector and 3D were dominant in the paper.

According to Ramesh Batlish Managing Partner & Head-FIITJEE Noida Centres, JEE Main 2023 April 15 shift 1 exam was of Moderate level. Mathematics was Moderate Level while Physics was Easy among the three subjects. Below is the JEE Main 15 April shift 1 exam analysis.

Mathematics - Moderate Level. Questions were asked from all chapters with more weightage given to Calculus & Algebra. In Calculus questions asked from almost all chapters of Limits & Continuity, Differentiability, Indefinite & Definite Integrals , Application of Derivative, Area, Differential Equations. In Algebra chapters covered where Complex Numbers, Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Matrices & Determinants, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics, Permutation & Combination. More than one questions from Vectors, 3 D Geometry, Matrices, Probability. Mixed Concept Questions were asked from Parabola, Circles, Ellipse.

• As per students based reactions the overall difficulty level was easy to moderate.

• Physics: The paper was formula based. The 11th portions , current electrostatics, work and power etc.

• Chemistry: The topics asked from kinetics, solid states, metallurgy, surface chemistry, polymer and bio molecules. Inorganic weight age was high.

• JEE Main April 13 has been concluded, according to the candidates the overall difficulty level is easy to moderate

• Physics was easy. The question were formula based. Question was asked from Mechanics, RBD.

Chemistry: The paper was by and large based on NCERT books. Numerical were very few from Physical Chemistry and but most of the questions were theoretical. Overall, the questions from Organic were somewhat on the higher side as compared to Physical and Inorganic Chemistry. Questions from prominent chapters like Chemical Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Alcohol, Phenol and Ethers, s-block and Aldehyde, Ketone and Carboxylic Acids were asked.

Physics: According to a sizeable number of students, the Physics part was of easy level. Questions from Mechanics, Current electricity, Semiconductors and Modern Physics were duly represented in the paper. Three to four questions from Mechanics and two from Modern Physics were there in the paper. Other chapters were also included in due proportions. There were a good number of numerical which were largely formula based. According to students XII Physics had more weightage in the paper. PYQ were also there in the paper.

Mixed Concept Questions were asked from Parabola, Circles, Ellipse, Hyperbola. JEE Main 2023 Paper 2 B.Arch Analysis for April 12 (shift 2)

JEE Main 2023 Paper Analysis for April 11 (Shift 2)

• As per students based reactions the overall difficulty level of paper was easy to moderate.

• As per students based reactions the overall difficulty level of paper was easy to moderate.

• Chemistry was moderate and NCERT based. The topics asked from topics like physical chemistry, nucleotide, polymer, isomer, chemical bonding, coordination compound.

Overall, the questions from the Physical, Organic and Inorganic branches were more or less evenly distributed. Questions from prominent chapters like p-block, Coordination, Polymers, Haloalkanes, and Haloarenes, Electrochemistry and Equilibrium were asked. Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform. Inorganic chemistry had high weightage in the paper. A thorough study of the NCERT books and mock tests based on NCERT is the guarantee of success in these types of tests.

As per the experts of Akaash+ Byju's Institute, the overall difficulty level of paper was of moderate difficulty level. Some good questions were time-consuming hence, students found the paper a bit lengthy Good students were able to complete the paper in a given stipulated time. Complete coverage of the syllabus and attempting similar test hold key to success.

Chemistry- Overall paper was of a moderate level. An in-depth study of NCERT books holds key to getting good marks. • As per the JEE Main aspirants who appeared for today’s shift 1 JEE Main 2023 paper, the overall difficulty level was easy.
• The Mathematics was somehow moderate as it was lengthy while Chemistry and the Physics sections were easy.
• Chemistry questions were NCERT based, and questions were asked from solubility, thermodynamics.
• Physics had good number of questions from optics topics and also covered communication system.

JEE Main January 30 Analysis Subject Wise (Shift 1)

Mathematics – Moderate level. It was calculative and lengthy. Questions were asked from 3D, algebra, integration and limit, differential equation, matrices, MR, statistics, binomial, coordinate geometry, parabola, circle, area under curve, PNC, probability and had less questions from Calculus.

Physics – Easy level. 2 questions were from Modern Physics, while paper also had questions from semiconductor, communication system, optics, magnetism, electrostatistics, unit and dimension, and few were from Kinematics topics.

Chemistry – Easy level. Questions were NCERT based. 3 questions from Thermodynamics, solubility. Paper also had questions from organic and inorganic, pdf block, environmental chemistry, chemistry in everyday life.

As per the FITJEE exerts, questions covered almost all chapters of Class XI & XII CBSE Board. It was a balanced paper and easier than Last Year.

In terms of order of Difficulty – Maths was Moderately Tough while Physics was Easy to Moderate Level, while Chemistry was Easy. Overall, this paper was Moderate level as per students.

• Mathematics –Moderate Tough Level. Weightage was given to chapters of Algebra and Calculus. Questions asked from Parabola, Ellipse, Definite Integrals, Area, Differential Equations, Matrices, Probability, Permutation & Combination, Determinants, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Binomial Theorem, Complex numbers, Progression Series. Both MCQs and Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was Lengthy & Tricky as per few students.
• Physics –Easy to Moderate Level. Weightage given to chapters of Kinematics, Work Power & Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics, Ray Optics, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, AC Circuits, Modern Physics, Communication Systems, Capacitors. Numerical based questions were reported as Easy. This section was balanced overall.
• Chemistry –Easy level. Physical Chemistry was given more weightage in Numerical Section as compared to Organic & Inorganic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage as compared to Organic Chemistry. Questions asked from Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Polymers, Biomolecules, Hydrocarbons, Ethers & Phenols, Aryl & Alkyl halides , Chemical Equilibrium, Atomic Structure, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics.

JEE Main 2023 paper analysis for January 30 shift 1 by Akaash Institute

As per the experts of Akaash+ Byju's Institute, the overall the difficulty level paper of today's paper was easy to moderate. A few good questions were spread here and there in the three subjects which made the paper a bit difficult. Chemistry was Memory Based while Maths was calculative, but students were able to complete the paper in a given time.

Chemistry- The chemistry paper was balanced. The physical portion was less as compared to Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. Most of the physical chemistry questions were of integer type. Chapters like p-block, d-block, and Coordination chemistry had more weightage in the paper. The whole paper was mostly NCERT based. Questions from Chemistry in everyday life, GOC, Aldehydes and Ketones, Environmental Chemistry and Polymers were asked.

Physics- Questions were set from all the topics. Students were tested on the simple level of applicability of concepts. Direct formula-based questions were asked. Three questions were from Thermodynamics, one Electrostatics, one from Optics, two from Magnetism and two to three questions from Modern Physics were reported by students. Those students who have thoroughly covered the syllabus of XI and XII along with sufficient problem-solving through similar types of practice tests will score better in this paper.

Mathematics- Mathematics part was concept based but moderate. Getting 6 to 7 questions from Calculus was the mainstay of the paper. There were 2 questions from Algebra, 2 questions from Integration, 1 question from Differential Equation, 2 questions from Coordinate Geometry and 3 questions from Vectors and 3D Geometry. A few good questions were also there in the paper on which students have to think a lot to attempt them.

Overall, it was a typical JEE (Main) paper of moderate difficulty level which can be solved comfortably in the stipulated time by good students but average students found it a bit difficult.

• As per the JEE Main aspirants who appeared for today’s shift 2 JEE Main 2023 paper, the overall difficulty level was moderate.
• The Mathematics was difficult while Chemistry and the Physics and Chemistry sections were easy.

• As per the JEE Main aspirants who appeared for today’s JEE Main 2023 paper 2, the overall difficulty level was easy to moderate.
• Unlike previous years, this year only 2 drawing questions were given instead of 4 and no option was given.
• The paper was lengthy.

• As per the IIT JEE Main students who appeared for today’s shift 1 JEE Main 2023 paper, the overall difficulty level was moderate.
• The Mathematics section was moderate, while the Physics and Chemistry were easy.
• In chemistry, Organic and Physical chemistry maintained a good ratio. And most of the questions were not from NCERT.

JEE Main 2023 paper analysis for January 25 shift 1 by Akaash Institute

As per the experts of Akaash+ Byju's Institute, just following yesterday’s trend overall paper was easy to moderate. Good students were able to complete the paper in a given stipulated time. Doing previous year's questions and attempting similar tests should fetch good marks.

Chemistry- Overall paper was of a moderate level. Study of NCERT books and mock tests based on NCERT holds the key to getting good marks. Physical Chemistry questions were fewer as compared to Organic Chemistry. Questions from chapters like Co-ordination Chemistry, Atomic Structure, Thermodynamics, Redox reactions, Chemical Kinetics, Hydrocarbon and Aldehyde and Ketones were there while questions from chapter Chemistry in Every-day life were conspicuously absent.

Physics- According to a large number of students Physics part was easy. Questions were spread in all topics like Mechanics, Waves and Modern Physics. The optics part had less contribution in this shift. Match-type questions were also there. The paper was formula based and students were able to do questions easily.

Mathematics- Mathematics paper was calculative and lengthy. Questions were spread around Calculus, Co-ordinate Geometry, 3D and Algebra. Around 4 to 5 questions were from Calculus, 3 to 4 questions from Co-ordinate Geometry and Binomial Theorem. Students were able to attempt question practice through mock tests holds the key.

• As per the IIT JEE Main students who appeared for today’s shift 2 JEE Main 2023 paper, the overall difficulty level was easy and it was similar to previous year. No questions were asked from the states topic.
• The Mathematics section was relatively easy yet lengthy, while the Physics and Chemistry were easy.
• In chemistry, Organic had high weightage and most of the questions were from NCERT.

Physics – Easy level. 1 question was asked from semiconductor and wave part. Most of the questions were memory based as they were doable if NCERTs are covered properly. Overall Physics was easy and doable.

Chemistry – Easy level. Physical organic chemistry had more weightage and most of the questions were directly asked from the NCERT and everyday chemistry, IOC, and inorganic chemistry topics were also asked.

JEE Main 2023 paper analysis for January 24 shift 2 by Akaash Institute

As per the experts of Akaash+ Byju's Institute, it was a paper of Easy to Moderate level. Physics was the easiest of the lot whereas Mathematics because of some lengthy calculations were considered to be moderate by many students. A detailed subject-wise analysis is given below.

Chemistry- The paper was by and large based on NCERT books and examples. The majority of the numerical-based questions were from Physical Chemistry and the remaining from Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. Overall the questions from the Physical, Organic and Inorganic branches were more or less evenly distributed. Chemistry in everyday life was included in the paper. Questions from prominent chapters like coordination compounds, equilibrium, thermodynamics Redox reactions, Chemical bonding and Chemical Kinetics were asked. Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform. d-block and p-block had less weightage in the paper. A thorough study of the NCERT books, solving NCERT examples and mock tests based on NCERT is the guarantee of success in these types of tests.

Physics- According to a sizeable number of students, the Physics part was also of easy level. Questions from Optics, Waves and Modern Physics were duly represented in the paper. Around 3 to 4 questions from SHM, Three questions from Modern Physics and two questions. Electromagnetic Waves were there in the paper. Other chapters were also included in due proportions. There were a good number of numerals which were largely formula based. According to students XII Physics had more weightage on the paper. Archive questions were also there on the paper. Solving a good number of mock tests would prove to be an effective strategy.

Mathematics- The mathematics paper was moderate but slightly time taking due to the lengthy calculations involved. A few good questions were interspersed sporadically. Questions were asked from Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Vectors & 3D and Algebra were there. Coordinate Geometry was dominant in the paper. Almost all the topics were covered. Again practice through mock tests holds the key.

As per the experts from Aakash+Byjus, the overall paper was easy to moderate level.

Mathematics: Students found that the Mathematics part was a bit lengthy but Moderate. 5 to 6 questions from Calculus were the main stay of the paper. There were not less than 5 questions from Algebra, 2 questions from Coordinate Geometry and 2 or 3 questions from Trigonometry. Chapters like Vectors, 3D Geometry and Probability too found representation in this paper.

In terms of order of Difficulty – Mathematics was Moderately Tough while Physics was Easy amongst the three subjects. Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.

As per the students reaction, JEE Main July 29 shift 2 paper was moderate in difficulty level. The Mathematics section was quite tough and lengthy while Chemistry section was easy in difficulty level. Almost all the questions in Chemistry section were asked from NCERT. The Physics section was moderate.

As per the experts from Aakash+Byjus, the overall paper was moderate in difficulty level.

Mathematics: Students found Mathematics part was moderate. It was assessed as difficult by some students because of the calculations involved in some of the questions. There were 7 to 8 questions from calculus. Questions on relation, function, continuity and differentiability, and application of derivatives were asked in good measure as also questions from integral calculus and differential equations besides area under curves were all asked. There were not less than 7 questions from algebra, about 3 questions from coordinate geometry and about 4 questions from vectors and 3-dimensional geometry, there were about 2 questions from trigonometry as well. Mathematical reasoning and probability were also included.

Physics: For many students, the Physics paper was of easy to moderate difficulty level. Questions were asked from almost all chapters -not less than 8 questions from Mechanics, about 4 questions from Heat and Thermodynamics,3 or 4questions from electricity and magnetics, and 2 or 3 questions asked from modern physics. The majority of questions in the numerical value section were from Physical Chemistry. The whole of the paper was NCERT based. Covering NCERT and its Examples would be the key to scoring good marks. As per the experts, It was a paper of Easy to Moderate level. Chemistry was the easiest of the lot whereas Mathematics because of some lengthy calculations were considered to be difficult by many students. A detailed subject-wise analysis is given below.

Chemistry

The paper was by and large based on NCERT books and examples. The majority of the numerical-based questions were from Physical Chemistry and the remaining from inorganic and inorganic Chemistry. Overall the questions from the Physical, Organic and Inorganic branches were more or less evenly distributed. Questions from environmental Chemistry, polymers and chemistry in everyday life were included in the paper. Questions from prominent chapters like coordination compounds, p block, equilibrium, thermodynamics and as also from redox reactions, chemical bonding and chemical kinetics were asked. Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform. A thorough study of the NCERT books, solving NCERT examples and JEE Mains mock tests based on NCERT is the guarantee of success in these types of tests.

Physics

According to a sizeable number of students, the Physics part was also of easy level. No less than 6 questions from electricity and magnetics a good number of questions (6 or 7)from mechanics were asked, a question from units and dimensions, and 2 or 3 questions from heat and thermodynamics were asked. Questions from Optics, Waves and Sound and Modern physics were duly represented in the paper. Other chapters were also included in due proportions. There were a good number of numerical which were largely formula based. Solving a good number of mock tests would prove to be an effective strategy.

Mathematics

The mathematics paper was moderate but slightly time taking due to the lengthy calculations involved. A few good questions were interspersed sporadically. About 7 Questions were asked from Calculus, 5 questions from Coordinate Geometry, not less than 4 from Vectors & 3D and not less than 5 questions from Algebra were there. Almost all the topics were covered. Again practice through mock tests holds the key.

As per the experts from Aakash BYJU’s, the overall difficulty level of JEE Main June 28 shift 1 exam was easy to moderate in difficulty level. The Mathematics section was quite lengthy.

Mathematics
A few students found the Mathematics section difficult as quite a few questions involved lengthy calculations. Adequate importance was given to Calculus & Algebra. 7 Questions from algebra included Chapters of Binomial Theorem, Permutation & Combination sequences and series, as well as complex numbers. Calculus included questions from Definite Integral, Differential equation, continuity and differentiability and functions. Questions from Coordinate Geometry were also present in adequate numbers. To score well in such a paper, a student should practise regularly and solve mock tests.

Physics
The Physics paper was considered to be easy by a large number of students. This paper was quite balanced as questions from class XI and class XII were equally distributed. Some numerical-based questions were involving elaborate calculations. A few students also reported that some questions were a bit tricky. About 6 questions from mechanics, at least 3 from Heat and Thermodynamics,4 to 5 from electricity and magnetics and a good number of questions from Modern Physics and Waves and Sound were the mainstay of the physics portion. Students with a thorough understanding of the ‘Concepts of Physics by HC Verma' along with NCERT should be able to score well in this paper. Solving Mock tests as the last leg of preparation is the key to a high score for this section

Chemistry
This paper was of a moderate to easy difficulty level. The distribution of questions from the three branches was nearly equal. Questions were asked from chapters like Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday life, & p-block elements. Some of the questions from Physical Chemistry were considered difficult by a section of students, and questions from Inorganic Chemistry were of moderate levels As mentioned previously, students with a good understanding of NCERT books should be able to do well in this paper.

• Mathematics – The difficulty level of mathematics exam was moderate. There were few questions from calculus. However, a slight weightage was given to vector and 3-D, geometry.
• Aptitude –The difficulty level of Aptitude test was moderate level. Majority of the questions were asked out of 3D shapes viewed from different angles.
• Planning-The planning subject difficulty level was easy. Candidates found the paper easier than the previous year. There were questions asked from Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC).

JEE Main 2022 Analysis by FIITJEE- June 23 Shift 1 for B.Arch

• Mathematics – Moderate to Difficult level. Students reported that Numerical based had few lengthy questions involving calculations. More weightage given to Chapter of 3 D Geometry.
• Aptitude – Easy to Moderate level. Questions mostly from 3- Dimensional Figures.
• Drawing– Easy level. One question involved drawing and coloring the scene of a Holi Festival, question on Color scheme of logo of Burger King and another question was to redraw a given figure with correct proportions (1:500).

In terms of order of Difficulty – Maths was toughest while Chemistry was easiest amongst the three subjects. This paper was overall of Moderate level as per students

Mathematics – Moderately to Difficult. Weightage was given to chapters of Calculus, 3D & Vector Algebra. There were some good and tricky questions from Binomial Theorem, Permutation & Combination, Probability & Matrices, Properties of Definite Integral & Differential Equation. Few tricky questions were also asked in chapters of Circle & Ellipse. Questions were of moderate level and lengthy.

Physics – Easy to Moderate. This section was balanced with questions covering almost all chapters. Some good questions were asked from Kinematics, EM Waves, Electromagnetic Induction, Heat & Thermodynamics, Semiconductors, Modern Physics & Optics. Some Numerical Based questions had lengthy calculations but were easy.

Chemistry – Easy. Organic Chemistry & Inorganic Chemistry had more weightage. Physical Chemistry was asked only in Numerical Based Type. Questions were asked from chapters of General Organic Chemistry, Oxygen Containing Compounds in Organic Chemistry. In Inorganic Chemistry questions were asked from s-block & p- block elements, Ores & Metallurgy, Environmental Chemistry. Questions directly from NCERT were asked. Overall, this section was easy.

JEE Main 2021 Analysis- September 1 Shift 2

The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. The paper was on similar lines as the previous JEE Main 2021 shifts.

• Similar to previous shifts, students found Maths as the toughest section. Some of the topics asked were Calculus, Algebra, Probability, statistics, permutations, and combinations, parabola, etc.
• Physics was easy to moderate in difficulty level. Some of the topics asked were Modern physics, current, electricity, electromagnetism, optics, electrostatics.
• Chemistry was NCERT based and was the easiest section. Some of the topics were Ores & Metallurgy & p-block elements, Chemistry in Everyday life, polymers. There was less weightage of physical chemistry.

JEE Main 2021 Analysis by FIITJEE- September 1 Shift 1

Questions covered almost all chapters of Class XI & XII CBSE Board. Class XII Chapters had more weightage. In terms of order of difficulty level, Mathematics was the toughest while Chemistry was the easiest amongst the three subjects. Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.

Mathematics – Moderate. Questions were asked from all chapters. Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. Weightage was given to Chapters of Calculus & Algebra. There were questions from Chapters of Binomial Theorem, Permutation & Combination, Probability in Algebra as well as Limits, Definite Integral, Differential Equation in Calculus. Some students reported this section Tough, while few said this section was lengthy.

Physics – Easy to Moderate. Questions were asked from Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Fluids, Current Electricity. Class XII Chapters dominated the paper as far as coverage of chapters is considered. More weightage was given to Electrostatics, Electromagnetism, Modern physics & Optics. Few numerical-based questions were lengthy. Few students felt this section was lengthy but easy.

JEE Main 2021 Analysis by Vidyamandir Classes- September 1 Shift 1

The overall difficulty level of the JEE Main 2021 exam was moderate. Overall the paper had more weightage of the Class 12th syllabus.

Maths- The section was a little tricky and was the toughest among the three sections. Probability, Statistics, Calculus were dominant in the section followed by Algebra, Trigonometry.

Physics- The section was moderate in difficulty level. Electromagnetism, Modern physics, Optics topics dominated the section.

Chemistry- The section was the easiest. Inorganic Chemistry was NCERT based.

• As per the students who appeared for the exam; JEE Main 2021 August 31 shift 2 exam was moderate in difficulty level.
• Mathematics was in difficulty level. Some of the topics asked were Vectors, 3D, Co-ordinate Geometry, Algebra, calculus, differential equation, etc.
• Physics was moderate in difficulty level. Some of the topics asked were Electrostatic, Alternating current, Thermodynamics, Semiconductors, Magnetism, EM Waves, etc.

Questions covered almost all chapters of Class XI & XII CBSE Board. Students felt more weightage given to XII Class Chapters. In terms of order of difficulty level, Mathematics was the toughest while Chemistry was the easiest. Overall, this paper was of Moderate level as per students.

Mathematics – Moderate level. Questions covered all chapters however weightage was given to chapters of Calculus & Algebra. Some good level questions were asked from Continuity & Differentiability, Application of Derivatives, Definite Integral, Matrices, Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Permutation & Combination, Vectors, and 3D Geometry. JEE Main 2021 Analysis by Aakash- August 31 Shift 1

The paper today was of a moderate difficulty level. Topic coverage in all three subjects was judicious with some good questions. A detailed analysis of the paper is given below.

Mathematics: For a large section of students, the Mathematics part was moderate. As anticipated, some questions involved lengthy calculations. There were 7 to 8 questions from calculus, not less than 5 questions from Algebra and 3 to 4 questions from Vectors and 3D and 4 questions were from Coordinate Geometry. Regular practice and solving mock tests would be of great help in scoring well in these papers.

Physics: This paper was also of moderate difficulty level. Questions were asked from all the prominent chapters - 2 questions from Optics, not less than 5 questions from Mechanics, 2 or 3 questions from Thermodynamics and 2 questions from Semiconductors among others. As expected, numerical type questions were more in numbers than to theoretical questions and almost all numerical were simple formula based.

Chemistry: The section was easy to Moderate and NCERT based. An almost equal number of questions were asked from the Physical, Inorganic and Organic branches of Chemistry. The majority of questions in the numerical value-based section were from Physical Chemistry. The whole of the paper was NCERT based. Covering NCERT and its Examples would be the key to score good marks. Chapters like Biomolecules, Polymers and Chemistry in everyday life besides regular topics found due to representation in the paper.

All in all, it was a moderate paper which can be solved in 3 hours. The subject-wise difficulty level can be assumed as Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry.

As per the student's review at the exam centre, the overall difficulty level of the JEE Main 2021 August 31 shift 1 exam was average (moderate).

• Mathematics – Moderate Level. Weightage was given to chapters of Calculus and Algebra. Numerical Based questions had lengthy calculations.

Overall, it was a balanced paper which can be solved in the stipulated time. The difficulty level wise order is Mathematics> Physics> Chemistry.

Chemistry The JEE Main 2021 Chemistry paper was by and large based on NCERT books. Six of the numerical based questions were from Physical Chemistry and two from inorganic Chemistry. Overall, the questions from Physical, Organic and Inorganic branches were evenly distributed. A thorough study of the NCERT books, solving NCERT examples and mock tests based on NCERT is the guarantee of success in these types of tests.

Physics - According to a sizeable number of students, Physics part was moderately difficult of the lot. 5 to 6 questions from Electromagnetics about 8 questions from mechanics, 2 from units and dimensions ,4 questions from optics were there in the paper. Other chapters were also included in due proportions. There were a good number of numerical which were largely formula based. Solving a good number of mock tests would prove to be a better strategy.

Mathematics - The JEE Main 2021 Maths paper was easy but slightly time taking due to lengthy calculations involved. Physics - This section was tough as compared to previous sessions. Two questions were asked from semi-conductor. Questions asked in this section were from almost every topic.

Chemistry - Most of the questions asked in Chemistry were NCERT based. Organic Chemistry had high weightage in JEE Main 2021 shift 2 exam. Only few questions were asked from Physical chemistry.

Mathematics - The JEE Main 2021 Maths section had questions from statistics, differential equation, reasoning. Overall, this section was moderate but lengthy.

• Paper was a typical JEE Main paper and on similar lines as the previous sessions.
• Mathematics was typical and lengthy. It was followed by Physics and Chemistry in difficulty level.
• Chemistry was the easiest section. There was more weightage of theoritical questions in the section. Approximately the paper had equal weightage of Organic, Inorganic and physical chemistry.
• Questions were from name reactions, Ionic equilibrium, organic reactions, thermochemistry, etc.

A majority view about the paper was that of a moderate to easy difficulty level. Topic coverage in all three subjects was extensive. The paper contained some good questions. A detailed analysis of the paper is given below.

Mathematics

For a large section of students, Mathematics part was moderate. AS predicted, some questions involved lengthy calculations. There were 7 to 8 questions from calculus, about 7 questions from Algebra and 3 to 4 questions from Vectors and 3-Dimensional Geometry about 4questions from Coordinate Geometry and 2 from Trigonometry.

Regular practice and solving mock tests would be of great help in acing these types of papers.

Physics

For many students, Physics paper was also of moderate difficulty level. Questions were asked from all the prominent chapters - 3 questions from Optics, 5 questions from Mechanics, 4 questions from Thermodynamics and 5question from Modern Physics among others are worth mentioning

As expected, numerical type questions were more in numbers than to theoretical questions and almost all numerical were simple formula-based questions. Practicing a sufficient number of similar tests would keep students in good stead.

Chemistry

This paper was easy and NCERT based. Almost equal number of questions were asked from the Physical, Inorganic and Organic branches of Chemistry. The majority of questions in the numerical value-based section were from Physical Chemistry. The whole of the paper was NCERT based. Covering NCERT and its Exemplar would be the key to score good marks. Chapters like Biomolecules, Polymers and Chemistry in everyday life besides regular topics found due to representation in the paper.

All in all, it was moderate to easy paper which can be solved in 3 hours. The subjectwise difficulty level can be assumed as Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry

• Mathematics - Moderate level. Questions were asked from chapters majorly from Calculus, Co-ordinate Geometry, Algebra. Questions were asked from chapters like Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Permutation & Combination in Algebra, Circle, Straight Line, Ellipse in Coordinate Geometry & Limits, Continuity & Differentiability, Definite Integral in Calculus. Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations.

• Physics – Easy to Moderate level. Questions asked from Kinematics, Optics, Electrostatics, Magnetism, Current Electricity, EM waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Communication systems & Modern Physics. Few Numerical based questions had lengthy calculations but were easy. This section was balanced compared to the other two subjects.

More weightage was given to chapters of Organic & Inorganic Chemistry. Organic Chemistry had questions mostly from oxygen containing organic compounds. In terms of order of Difficulty – Maths was of Moderate level while Chemistry & Physics was Easy to Moderate amongst the three subjects. Overall this paper was of Moderate level as per students. Some students felt that JEE Main 2021 August 26 shift 1 exam was easier compared to July session. They also reported less attendance compared to the July Session.

Chemistry: The questions asked in the chemistry section were quite easy. All the questions were asked from NCERT. This time NTA has given more weightage to theory portion. Equal weightage was given to organic, inorganic and physical chemistry.

JEE Main July 27 Shift 2 Analysis

Similar to previous shifts, the JEE Main 2021 Math paper was difficult as compared to Physics and Chemistry.

Physics -The Physics sections was well balanced. Questions in JEE Main 2021 July 27 shift 2 were asked from almost all the topics. Some of the topics asked in JEE Main 2021 July 27 Physics paper were EMF, Modern physics, electrostatics, alternating current, fluids, etc.

Chemistry - The Chemistry section was the easiest. Most of the questions asked in the JEE Main 2021 question paper were from NCERT. Some of the topics asked were metallurgy, coordination compounds, polymer, biomolecule.

Maths - The JEE Main Maths paper was calculative and lengthy. As per the students who appeared in the JEE Main 2021July 27 shift 2 exam, the Maths paper was difficulty. Some of the topics asked in Maths section were Statistics, relations, etc.

JEE Main July 27 Shift 1 Analysis by Aakash Institute

The paper was of easy to moderate level. A few good questions were sprinkled here. A majority opinion was of the view that Physics part was the easiest. Whereas Chemistry was of easy to moderate levels, Mathematics was moderate because of some lengthy calculations involved. A subject wise analysis in details is given below:

Physics: Questions was set from covering all the topics. Students were tested on the simple level of applicability of concepts. Numerical were more in numbers than to theoretical questions. Four to five questions from modern Physics, 6 to 7 questions from mechanics and two questions from communications made the bulk of Physics paper besides questions from Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Optics and other chapters. Those students who have thoroughly covered the course of XI and XII along with sufficient problem solving through similar type of practice tests will score nicely in this paper.

Chemistry: Chemistry part was on predicted lines. Eight of the numerical value questions was from Physical Chemistry with two from Inorganic Chemistry. All the questions from Organic Chemistry were asked in MCQ form. There were almost equal number of questions from Physical, Inorganic and Organic branches of Chemistry and the whole paper was NCERT based. Chemistry in everyday life, GOC, Aldehydes and Ketones and Biomolecules are the chapters from which significant number of questions were asked. Thorough study of NCERT books, solving NCERT exemplar and practicing through mock tests holds the key for success in this paper.

Mathematics: Predictably, Mathematics part was a bit lengthy thus making it moderately difficult. 5 to 6 questions from Calculus were the main stay of the paper. There were not less than 5 questions from Algebra, 4 questions from Coordinate Geometry and 2 or 3 questions from Trigonometry. The JEE Main 2021 questions in July 27 shift 1 exam covered almost all chapters of Class XI & XII CBSE Board. Overall, it was a balanced paper as per students in terms of coverage of chapters. It was tougher as compared to papers held on Feb 24, 2021.

• JEEMain March 17 questions in shift 1 covered almost all chapters of Class 11 and 12. The paper was balanced in terms of coverage of chapters. JEE Main today's paper was slightly tougher as compared to papers held in February but easier compared to exam held on March 16,2021.
• Mathematics was moderate to tough in terms of JEE Main difficulty. There were multiple questions from chapters like Differential Equations, Conic Sections, Vectors & 3D Geometry. Few numerical based questions were tricky and required lengthy calculations.

• Physics was easy to moderate in difficulty. Questions asked from all chapters with easy questions from chapters like Semi-Conductors, Current Electricity, Communication Devices & AC Circuits. Few numerical based questions had lengthy calculations but were easy. Theory-based questions from class 12 chapters of NCERT were also asked.

• Chemistry was easy with a balanced section and equal weightage to chapters of Physical, Inorganic & Organic Chemistry. Covered almost all chapters of NCERT.

• In terms of order of Difficulty, mathematics was moderately tough while Chemistry was easiest amongst the three subjects. Overall, this paper was of moderate level as per students.

Harshit - The paper was good as compared to last time. Mathematics was not tough but lengthy, Chemistry and Physic was the same level easy. In Mathematics, questions were asked from topics includes 3D, Probability etc. In Chemistry, the inorganic part was more and Physics, questions were asked from Modern, Electrostatic etc.,

Aryan - This was my 2nd attempt. Physic was hard and questions were asked from Alternating current, vernier caliber etc. Maths was moderate and Chemistry was easy. Question from Numerical values was was hard and lengthy.

Vansh Mittal - It was my 1st attempt. Maths position was gone a week, physic was ok and chemistry was also ok. Most of the questions in Chemistry came from NCERT. Physics and Maths numerical portion was high. Section-B in Maths was lengthy.

Ritika - As per Ritika, compared to the February session, March was easy. The chemistry was easy and Physics was difficult. The chemistry question was came from the 11th syllabus. Maths was toughest.

Physics:- In a paper of 30 questions, there were two sections, Section I contained 20 single option correct MCQ, whereas Section II contained 10 numerical based questions, out of which only 5 were to be answered. Questions were asked from Mechanics, Electrostatics, Magnetism, Current Electricity, Heat and Thermodynamics and optics. Some of the questions involved lengthy calculations, but overall, it was an easy to moderate level paper. Overall Paper was a lengthy 7-8 question from Modern physics and 5 questions from Radioactivity.

Chemistry:- Section I comprised 20 multiple choice questions, whereas section II contained 10 numerical based questions with an internal choice of any 5 questions to be attempted. Some students reported that a couple of questions involved lengthy calculations, but these questions could be avoided by exercising the internal choice. The paper was easy to moderate; almost all the topics were covered. The chapters of classes XI and XII were given almost equal weightage and, by and large, based on NCERT content. Organic Chemistry was sufficiently asked, followed by Physical and Inorganic branches.

Agastya - I am from CBSE and I also appeared in the JEE Main Feb 2021 session. The questions asked in the JEE Main March 16 Maths paper were difficult as compared to JEE Maths Feb question paper. Many questions were asked from Probability and matrices and determinants. Physics and Chemistry were comparatively easier. Mathematics – Moderate to Tough level. Questions were asked majorly from Chapters in Algebra like Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Matrices and Determinants. There were few questions from Trigonometry, Vector and 3D Geometry. In Calculus- there were questions from Application of Derivatives and Definite Integral. Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations.

Physics – Easy to Moderate level. Questions asked from Kinematics, Optics, Electrostatics, Magnetism, Current Electricity, EM waves, Heat and Thermodynamics. 5 to 6 questions from Semi-Conductors, EM Waves and Communication Devices. Theory Based questions from few chapters of NCERT were asked.

The last day of JEE Main 2021 February session exam is over with the completion of evening shift today. As per the initial reaction from students who appeared in the shift 2 JEE Main 2021 paper February 26, the exam was moderate to difficulty. Questions were framed from almost all topics of JEE Main syllabus of class 11 and 12 and most questions were NCERT based. Most students found Physics paper to be the easiest of all three, followed by Chemistry and Mathematics.

The paper was easy to moderate including some easy questions. Most of the questions were either directly taken from the NCERT textbooks or were closely based on NCERT concepts. JEE Main Analysis 2021 February 26 Shift 1 - Based on Students

Saiyam: This was my first attempt for JEE Main exam 2021 and the exam was neither difficult nor too easy but moderate. Mathematics and Physics sections were a bit difficult but Chemistry was easy. Topics like gravitation and rotational motion held more weightage.

Himanshu Yadav: The JEE Mains 2021 exam Feb 26 shift 1 was average. The Mathematics section was difficult with 4 questions from differential equations. Physical chemistry and organic dominated the chemistry section. Integer-type questions proved to be difficult for me. After the IIT JEE exam is over, I will be taking the BITS Pilani entrance (BITSAT 2021).

Keshav: The JEE Main question paper 2021 was easier as compared to the other days. Mathematics was easier and there were fewer questions requiring lengthy calculations. Physics questions were easier while Chemistry was moderately difficult. Inorganic p-block and coordinate geometry were dominating in their respective sections. The physics section was uniformly distributed.

Another Student: The overall difficulty level was moderate. The chemistry was a bit difficult section with more questions from organic chemistry. Physics was easier with more questions from electrostatics and the electric field. The mathematics section was also moderate.

JEE Main 2021 Analysis - February 25 Shift 2 based on students feedback

The second shift of JEE Main 2021 February 25 paper is over. As per the feedback of students who appeared in exam, paper was on easy side. In physics, most questions were from Kinematics, and in chemistry many questions were from organic part. The overall difficulty level of paper was moderate. Most students found maths section to be toughest and chemistry was easiest among the three subjects. Graph based questions were mostly asked in maths.

Based on students feedback who appeared in JEE Main 2021 February 24 shift 2 paper, mathematics was tough in comparison to physics and chemistry. • Mathematics was the difficult section of all.

• Overall, the JEE Main 2020 paper 2 on September 1 was moderate

• For B.Arch, the Mathematics section was a bit difficult with questions from Integration, area bound questions, differentiation, etc.

• Drawing section was easier than all the sections

• The General aptitude section was comparatively easier.

• For B. Planning, the Mathematics section was tricky with more questions from integration and a few numerical value questions.

As per the feedback from students on JEE Main 2020 analysis, almost all chapters of Class XI and XII CBSE Board were covered in all three subjects.

Physics: The difficulty level of the JEE Main September 4 Physics paper was easy to moderate. The Physics question paper had more fact-based lengthy questions. Many questions were asked from the rotation chapter. Also, some numerical based questions had lengthy calculations.

Chemistry: In the Chemistry paper, more weightage was given to class XII chapters. Most of the questions asked in the JEE Main Chemistry paper were from Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. According to students, the level of questions was above the NCERT level.

Mathematics: Questions in the Maths section were asked from almost all chapters of coordinate geometry and algebra. The questions from calculus were less as compared to coordinate geometry. Also, some numerical based questions required lengthy calculations.

JEE Main 2020 Analysis by Aakash Institute - September 4 (Shift 1)

Overall the JEE Main shift one question paper for September 4 was balanced and of moderate difficulty level. However, the JEE Main paper 1 was a little lengthy as compared to past papers.

Physics: The paper was of moderate level but consisted of more calculation based questions. Integer type questions were calculative. Questions asked in the JEE Main Physics question paper were from all topics like Electrostat, Mechanics, Optics, and Modern Physics.

JEE Main 2020 Analysis by Allen Kota - September 3

Morning Shift

As per the feedback received by students who appeared in the morning session, question paper can be said to be difficult. The complete JEE main syllabus had been covered and questions in each subject were from all topics. Questions asked from Physics was the most difficult subject and questions from the informative part of Chemistry were also difficult. Maths questions from almost all topics of syllabus and 3-4 questions in Maths were of integer value answers. Binomial and standard deviation questions also asked in Maths. Questions from Physics were tricky and lengthy requiring elimination and approximation to arrive at solution. Mechanics part had 3-4 questions, 1 from EMV while modern physics was less. In Chemistry, numerical questions from conduction, electrochemistry and photoelectric effect were moderate. Informative questions from organic and inorganic chemistry were a bit difficult like chemical reactions of novestrol and questions from environmental effects from thermal power plants.

Afternoon Shift

The evening paper was easy in terms of difficulty level, as per the reaction from students who appeared in the exam. Physics part was moderate with equal weightage of numerical and theoretical part. Questions from mechanics were easy while that of EMV was moderate. Optics part was less on paper. In Chemistry, the Organic part was most difficult where SN-2 reactions and Aldol-Cannizzaro and organic drugs questions were asked. In physical chemistry, the electrochemistry and equilibrium part was also asked. In inorganic chemistry, easy questions from coordination and P-block were asked. In maths, most questions were from Integration, differentiation and vectors while some questions were also from relation and reasoning, In all, topics of class 11 and 12 were equally asked in all subjects.

• The overall difficulty level of the paper was somewhere between easy and moderate. Physics section was a little tough.

• Math section was a little bit lengthy.
