JEE Main 2013 Spot /Extra Spot Round
Revised schedule has been announced after the third round of seat allotment on July 23, 2013.  The Registrations have been announced and choice filling can be done once the registration is successfully done. Candidates can check the vacancies as per the list announced. Candidates can view the complete details of the Spot Round and Extra Spot Round below starting with Registration, Choice filling and locking, document verification, to allotment.

JEE Main 2013 Spot /Extra Spot Round Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have qualified and not registered during July 1 to 9, 2013

Registered Candidates who have not been allotted any seats during the previous rounds

Candidates whose seats have been cancelled due to changes in Gender/Category/PwD Status/State of Eligibility but are eligible in spite of the changes

Note: Candidates who have registered during July 1 - 9, 2013 need not register again.

JEE Main 2013 Spot /Extra Spot Round:

  • The Spot Round and Extra Spot Round (SRESR) is held for the vacant seats available in Government Funded Technical Institutes (NITs, IIITs and CFTIs) and all seats of Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs)

  • The seats available for the CFTIs and SFTIs have been listed after the upgradation at the end of Third round of reporting.

  • As per previous Seat Vacancy Status by CSAB, approx. 30,000 seats are still vacant in GFTIs/SFTIs for Spot and Extra Spot Round.

Registrations and Choice Filling:

  • After choice filling, the initial fee has to be paid.

Payment of fees:
An intial fee of Rs 40,000 has to be paid by any of the following methods:

  • Debit/Credit card / NEFT /e-challan of Axis Bank/ Net BankingOR

  • DD for Rs 41000 (Rs 1000 processing fee) in favour of “Chairman, CSAB-2013”, payable at Rourkela


Spot Round (SR): Applicable to CFTIs and SFTIs

  • The collected fee is non-refundable and will be sent to the allocated Institute by CSAB even if the candidate does not take admission there.

  • In case of no seat allocation, the collected fee will be refunded to the candidate by CSAB.

Extra Spot Round (ESR):  Applicable to SFTIs only

  • Candidates allotted seats will have to pay the required fee at the admitting Institutes in accordance to their rules and norms.

Note: Choice filling for both Spot Round (non-refundable) and Extra Spot Round (refundable) will be done before the Spot Round is started.

Hello Aspirant, If you got around 76 percentile in JEE Main then your rank after JEE Main April will be around 2.5 lakh, with this rank being General or OBC Category Candidates you will not get NIT but you may get NIT's if you are a SC or ST category Candidate.but you can get admission in some of private colleges being a General or OBC Category Candidate.
