I got 86.6 percentile in jee mains 2020 Jan can I expect seat in gfti nayaraipur

Sudarshan kumar 28th Jan, 2020

Hi Prem,

Whether you get seat in NIT Raipur depends upon from which category you belong if you belongs from ST or Sc then you will surely get seat but if you belong from General or Obc category then you may not get seat in NIT raipur because in 86.6 percentile your rank would be around 120000 and the last year cutoff for General category is 42,389 for all india category and for home state the cutoff was 91034 for BIOtech branch which is least preferable branch.

The link for cutoffs of NIT Raipur is:-

Hope this will help, please feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Thank You.

As per your percentile, your expected rank should be 4279 and with this rank it is very hard to get NIT Trichy, because the cut off of the colleges is very high, you can check last year cut off of NIT Trichy from here

But don't worry, there are many other options for you,you can get other NITs or any other good colleges,if you want to know the colleges you can get with this percentile, you can use college predictor tool to get the exact result from here

Subhodeep Biswas 28th Jan, 2020
Hey there hope you're doing well.
Dear aspirant, according to your percentile score in JEE MAIN your expected rank is about 1,87,966.
The D Y Patil college of engineering takes admission into courses through MHT-CET score as well as JEE MAIN ranks. The cutoff rank for CSE rewired in MHT-CET exam is 120(closing rank) gen. category and AIR in JEE MAIN for this branch is 3997 (closing rank).
I'll suggest you to give your April attempt and score good percentile. Still I'm providing you with our college predictor link for getting a better picture of the colleges you can get with this percentile.
Thank you hope this helps you!

What was jee advanced cutoff 2019 for st category

Yastika Kumar 28th Jan, 2020

Hi Himanshi,

The JEE advance clearance depends on two things; minimum marks secured in each subject and minimum aggregate marks. For ST category, last year, the minimum marks needs to be secured in each subject was 5 and minimum aggregate marks was 17.5. A revised cut off was also released which lowered the minimum marks aggregate marks to 12.5
