Salient points of the ISM EE Exam Pattern 2017

  • Candidates will score the allotted marks for every correct answer

  • If candidates do not select any answer in the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet, then no marks will be deducted

  • Candidates have to darken the correct answer out of the four options that are given on the OMR sheet by darkening it with a blue or black ball point pen.

  •  It is upto the IIT- (ISM) authority to determine the qualifying marks for each paper

  • Depending on the marks scored by the candidates, the merit list will be prepared for different categories of candidate

  • No request for re-totalling of the marks or scrutiny will be entertained.

  • Candidates who are shortlisted will have to attend the counselling else they will forfeit the seat.

Features of ISM EE Entrance Exam

  • Five departments of  ISM i.e Applied Geophysics, Mining Engineering and Mining Machinery Engineering, Fuel and Mineral Engineering admit candidates through the entrance exam

  • Candidates will be provided admission only in that M.Tech programme in which the candidate has appeared in the entrance exam of ISM EE 2017.

  • Candidates who are applying for both the M.Tech programmes i.e “Mining Engineering” and “Opencast Mining”  are required to prepare for one exam which is “Mining Engineering”
