The candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria of IPU B.Tech 2020 to participate in the admission procedure. IPU B.Tech admission 2020 eligibility criteria consists of factors such as age, academics and more qualifications that the candidates need to meet to be allotted into the offered B.Tech seats.
The candidates should be 21 years old as on August 1, 2020. Relaxation will be as per norms.
Should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination from a central or state board or any equivalent exam.
Those candidates who will be appearing for the qualifying examination in 2020 will also be eligible for admissions
The candidates should have obtained minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have also passed these subjects individually. Should have also passed English as a subject of study (core/elective or functional).
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons with Disability candidates will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks.
Should have appeared and qualified JEE Main Paper I.
The application form of IPU B.Tech 2020 will be available tentatively from the third week of March in online mode. Candidates applying for Biotechnology will be able to apply tentatively till the second week of May while the candidates applying for the other B.Tech courses will be able to do so tentatively till the third week of June 2020. It is important for the candidates to fill and submit the application form before the final date otherwise they will not be allowed to participate in the admission procedure. All of the required information such as personal, academic and contact details has to be provided in the application form.
Step 1 – Filling of Exam Category: In the first step, the candidates will have to select B.Tech as their category of examination.
Step 2 – General Information: Next, the candidates will have to provide their personal information along with communication details such as email address, mobile number and more. Scanned images of photograph, signature and left thumb impression have to be uploaded as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities.
Step 3 – Qualification Information: Details about 10th and 12th standard qualifying examination has to be provided by the candidates.
Step 4 – Declaration: Candidates will have to read the declaration and check on “I Agree” button. The declaration has to be submitted.
Step 5 – Generation of Login ID and Password: The generated ID and password will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address.
Step 6 – Course Application: The course to which the candidates are applying has to be selected. Two exam centres have to be selected by the candidates from the given list (for Biotechnology).
Step 7 – Payment of Fee: Next, the required application fee of Rs. 1000 has to be paid by the candidates through online mode (debit card/credit card/net banking).
Step 8 – Generation of Application Form: The candidates will be able to access the application form and a print out has to be taken for future use.
The exam centres of IPU B.Tech 2020 consist of the venues where the examination will be conducted. Since the examination will be held only for Biotechnology course, the exam centres will be valid for only this exam. While filling the application form, the candidates will have to fill their choice of exam centres. Details about the exam centres will be available in the admit card.

Every correct answer will be given 4 marks. However, for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
The authorities will release the admit card of IPU B.Tech admission 2020 (only for B.Tech Biotechnology) tentatively five days before the examination is conducted. The admit card will be available in online mode and the candidates will have to download and print it out for future use. Without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. The given steps can be followed by the candidates to download the admit card:

The result of IPU B.Tech 2020 will be released only for B.Tech Biotechnology course. Candidates will be able to check the result in online mode. Details such as name, roll number, acquired scores, ranks and more will be available in the result of IPU B.Tech 2020 result for Biotechnology.
The minimum ranks which need to be secured to have higher chances of admissions into the institute will constitute the cutoff of IPU B.Tech admission 2020. The authorities will determine the cutoff based on various factors related to the admission procedure such as performance in qualifying examination, previous year cutoff trends and more. The cutoff will consist of opening and closing ranks.
All of the registered candidates will be checked by the authorities and a merit list will be prepared according to their eligibility. The allotment of seats will be done as per the candidate’s merit, preferences and availability of seats. The list of allotted candidates through IPU B.Tech admission 2020 counselling will be released in online mode. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying the part academic fee of Rs. 40,000. Reporting at the counselling venue for document verification also has to be done by the candidates. Along with two rounds of counselling, the authorities will also conduct a sliding and a spot round for admissions.
