IIT (ISM) Seat Matrix - Candidates will be able to check the seat matrix released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authorities (JoSAA) in conjunction with the institute soon. It will be released soon. With the help of the IIT (ISM) seat matrix, candidates will be able to know the total number of seats available for admission. Also, since the seat matrix will be released category and course wise, it will be easier for the candidates to decide the preferred choice of courses. IIT (ISM) will be offering admissions on the basis of JEE Advanced scores through JoSAA. Only those candidates who will qualify JEE Advanced 2020 will be eligible to participate in the admission process. Those who fail to qualify the entrance exam will not be allotted any seat in the institute. IIT ISM offers admission to various courses and some of them include chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering and many more. What’s JoSAA?

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The registrations for the JoSAA 2020 counselling and choice filling will commence tentatively in the month of June. Candidates who qualify JEE Main as well as JEE Advanced will have to participate in counselling rounds for seat allocation. JEE Advanced will be conducted on May 17, 2020. Centralised counselling will be conducted in seven rounds.

The authorities will release the seat matrix for each course and for each category separately. Previous Year’s IIT (ISM) Seat Matrix

IIT (ISM) seat matrix 2020 will be released after the JEE Advanced 2020 examination. In the meanwhile, candidates are advised to check the previous year’s IIT (ISM) seat matrix to have a rough idea about the availability of seats. Aspirant, Last year cutoff percentile for qualifying for JEE Advanced for different categories are


General - 89.75


General EWS - 78.21


OBC Category - 74.31


SC Candidate - 54.01


ST Candidate - 44.33


PWD Candidate - 0.11


So,This year also cutoff percentile will be close to this only, it may change 1-2 percent, so, depends upon your category that you are eligible for JEE Advanced or not. If you are General or EWS Candidate then you are not eligible as per last year data.

It is very difficult to predict exact cut off of jee mains.
But according to previous year cut off you are not eligible for jee advance.
You can qualify for jee advanced you must be work hard and revise scoring topics for jee mains.

Dear Aspirant,

The cut off for the exam JEE Advanced are declared after the exam and since the 2020 exam has not yet conducted, the cutoff for 2020 is not available yet.

However, for 2019. the cutoff for OBC- NON CREAMY LAYER the cutoff is

per subject : 9 MARKS

Overall: 31.5 MARKS

However these marks are subjected to change with the total marks in jEE 2020, difficulty of paper, etc.

Is previous years question enough for jee advance preparation ? ?

No previous year questions are not enough for JEE advanced. For JEE Advanced preparation you have to solve as many questions as possible and clear all your basics and do some good coaching materials for extra practice of mathematics.  also you must have the good knowledge and brief overview of the whole paper so that you can get an idea about the genre and difficulty of the paper.
