I got 88.2032067 percentile in jee main Jan 2020 attempt. Do I qualify for jee advanced with these percentile.? If yes, What rank I should secure in Jee Advanced to get Artificial Intelligence branch at IIT Hyderabad? My category is ST

ayush mishra 27th Jan, 2020
Hey aspirant!
As of now, it is difficult to predict the actual qualifying NTA score for JEE Advanced eligibility. However, going by views of many experts, if you have a percentile above 85-86 then you have a decent enough chance to qualify irrespective of your category. However, you should refer to the previous year JEE Main qualifying cutoff scores by NTA as follows to understand your chances:-
Common Rank List (CRL)

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL)

Scheduled Caste (SC)

Scheduled Tribe (ST)

Therefore, looking at previous year's trends it is a big possibility that you would qualify for JEE Advanced. Also, you still have another opportunity to improve your results by performing better in the April attempt and I would advise you to be concentrated on that too and give it your best shot.

As regarding your query about Artificial Intelligence at IIT HYDERABAD, it is a relatively new course and so prediction for cutoff is really tough, however an AIR of 600-700 would be sufficient to qualify for it, however, an AIR of under 500 would probably seal you the seat. Also, note that the previous year opening and closing rank for the course was 657 and 1601 respectively for General category while the opening rank for ST students from ST rank list was 142.
Good luck.

What should I choose CSE in IIT Dhanbad or EE at IIT Hyderabad ?

Malini S N 5th Jan, 2020

The NIRF ranking of IIT Hyderabad is better than the ranking of IIT Dhanbad and a EE course in IIT Hyderabad will be a better choice if you are interested in Electrical and Electronics. If you are more passionate about CSE,then go for IIT Dhanbad. If you want an CSE in IIT Hyderabad, then you can enroll and can slide from EE to CSE if you score a very good cgpa in your first year.

Is there a AC in IIT HYDERABAD?

sudheer kumar 25th Dec, 2019
Dear aspirant,
If you are talking about AC rooms in IIT Hyderabad then you are in trouble as any IIT doesn't have Ac hostels for undergraduate students. But they have cooling ducts which are more convenient than cooler. So keep claim and keep studying for IIT exam.
Best of luck!
