IIT Bombay Placement Report 2018 – IIT Bombay was founded in 1958 and has become one of the top colleges in India to pursue a course in Engineering. IIT Bombay is the fourth oldest institute among Indian Institute of Technology systems after IIT-BHU, IIT Roorkee, IIT Dhanbad and IIT Kharagpur. IIT Bombay was rewarded with the Institute of Eminence (IoE) title on July 10, 2018. Every students dream of getting into one of the IITs in India. Students always are curious of getting the right knowledge of their institute prior to their admission. Students mostly are curious of the placement records in an Institute to which they would get admission in.
Based on the data provided by IIT Bombay, careers360 after analysing presents the IIT Bombay Placement Report 2018. First placement drive for the institute started from December 1, 2017. Comparing with the last year statistics, the placement record were high with a total of 1023 selections this year than 1007 last year’s. 100 PPOs were offered this year which were comparatively higher than those of the last year’s 58 PPOs.
College Comparison based on Courses, Placement, Rank, Fee
The placement drive started with a boom with over 150 students got the job offer on the very first day of the first phase of Placement drive with around 34 Companies visiting the campus for the placement. Highest number of offers were made by Goldman Sachs Qualcomm, IBM, Microsoft, BCG, Cairn, Mckinsey Knowledge Centre and Tata Steel. Highest package of Rs. 1.39 Crore was offered by Microsoft. Second highest package of Rs. 99.87 Lakhs per annum was offered by Uber.
First phase of the placement session was attended by more than 250 companies. Around 15 Japanese firms also participated in the placement drive for this year including renowned companies like Sony, TEX E.G., Murata and Toyo Engineering.

Dear aspirant, I think you have some confusion over the name. IIT MUMBAI and Mumbai University both are different.
MUMBAI UNIVERSITY ,
admission for B.Tech course is on the basis of MH-CET exam.
IIT MUMBAI ,
admission is on the basis of score obtained in
exam. You can't take admission in IIT MUMBAI on the basis of JEE MAINS. Also the score in JEE ADVANCED has to be among the top scorers as the cut off for IIT MUMBAI is highest among all the IITs.
