IIST B.Tech 2013 Eligibility Criteria
IIST B.Tech 2013 Eligibility Criteria details the needed academic and other qualifications to gain admissions to the B.Tech courses at theIndian Institute Of Space Science and Technology (IIST). Students must check the eligibility criteria of IIST before applying. Admissions are available to candidates who have qualified in JEE Main and JEE Advanced as specified. IIST B.Tech 2013 Eligibility Criteria:
1. Academic Criteria: Candidates must have passed any of the following
Class XII conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as CBSE, ISCE
Second year of the Intermediate or the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
The final examination of the two-year course conducted by the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
A recognized Vocational Higher Secondary Examination.
The Senior Secondary School Examination with a minimum of five subjects conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling.
Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Advanced (A) level of the General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka)
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or IB Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
2. IIST B.Tech Selection Procedure:
Candidates must have qualified in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2013 conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE to appear for the JEE Advanced 2013.
They must have secured the minimum prescribed marks category wise in JEE Advanced (mentioned below) to be eligible for admissions.
Prescribed minimum JEE Advanced Marks category wise:
General (GEN): Candidates must have scored a minimum of 20% marks in aggregate with at least 5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).
Other Backward Community – Non Creamy Layer OBC (NCL): Candidates must have scored a minimum of 18% marks in aggregate and at least 4.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).
3. SC, ST & PD Candidates: Candidates must have scored a minimum of 10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).
