Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of IISc BS admission 2020 before filling the application form. No candidate will be eligible for the final seat allotment if he/she does not qualify the minimum eligibility criteria of IISc BS 2020. Candidates must have passed II PUC / 12th Standard in 2019 or should be appearing in the exam in 2020 to be eligible for the admission process.
Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard.
Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply.
Candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination.
However, there is no minimum percentage for SC/ST candidates, they are only required to pass in the II PUC / 12th Class.

The exam conducting authorities will release the application form of IISc BS 2020 in online mode. The application process of IISc BS 2020 will include various steps like registration, filling of application form, uploading of documents, payment of fees, etc.

Candidates can refer the following steps to fill IISc BS application form 2020.
Step 1: Registration- Candidates will have to register in the first step by clicking on “New User Registration/Login” link. After this, candidates will have to enter basic details like name, gender, date of birth, email Id, mobile number and set a password. On successful registration, candidates will receive a verification link on their registered email Id.
Step 2: Login- After this, candidates will have to login to the candidate portal by using their email Id and password to fill all the details of the application form.
Step 3: Filling of Application Form- In this step, candidates will have to fill all the required details of the application form which will include personal, communication and academic details like Class 10th and 12th details, registration number/ score of JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/KVPY, gender, state of domicile, mother tongue, category, OBC sub classification, sub-category, contact details, etc.
Step 4: Uploading of Documents- In the next step, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, caste certificate (If applicable) as per the specifications set by the authorities.
Step 5: Academic Details- After this, candidates will have to click on ‘Qualification’ link and provide their class 10th and 12th details such as name of school, place, board, year of passing, subject studied, aggregate percentage of marks and overall letter grades. After entering the details, candidates will have to click on save and proceed further to next step.
Step 6: Details of Qualifying Test- In this step, candidates will have to click on ‘National Entrance Test’ tab and enter the required details like roll number and marks secured by them in any of the admission channel which they are applying for- KVPY, JEE Main or JEE Advanced.
Step 7: Payment of Fee- After all the above details have been entered by the candidates, they will have to pay the application fee of IISc BS 2020 in online mode through internet banking, credit/debit card.

Step 8: Submission of Application Form- In the last step, candidates will have to finally submit their application form. Candidates are advised to check all the details entered by them in the application form before submitting the form as they will not be able to make any corrections after final submission of form.
The exam conducting authorities will release the cutoff of IISc BS 2020 for admission of students in Bachelor of Science programme offered by the institute. The cutoff will be based on various factors like number of applicants, availability of seats, previous year cutoff trends, etc. Candidates who will qualify IISc BS cutoff 2020 will have higher chances of admission.

The exam conducting authorities will prepare a merit list of IISc BS 2020 on the basis of cutoff scores. It should be noted that separate merit list will be prepared for JEE Main, JEE Advanced and KVPY candidates. Candidates who will have their names in IISc BS merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit list will be called to participate in the counselling of IISc BS 2020. Authorities will prepare separate merit list for all the channels of admission- KVPY, JEE Main or JEE Advanced. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of category-wise merit list released by the authorities for each admission channel.
