The table given below provides the candidates with the detailed IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2018. The various modes of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech admission 2018 are:

DASA UG 2018

Candidates must be Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

Applicants should have completed 12th class or equivalent by May 2018 or earlier. They must have scored at least 60% marks (or 6.0 grade on 10 point scale) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2.

It is highly recommended that they take AP Calculus course, AP Physics or AP Chemistry course.

 

Applicants should also satisfy one of the following conditions

  • Candidates must have studied 11th and 12th or equivalent outside India

  • They must hold a foreign passport

  • They must have appeared in SAT and scored a minimum aggregate score of 1070 (out of maximum of 1600) in SAT,

    AND

  • They must have also scored a minimum aggregate score of 2000 (out of maximum of 2400) in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

    Both scores are mandatory.

The admissions through DASA will be through the subject SAT (SAT II) scores. The main SAT scores are used to break ties. Anyone who has valid SAT II scores, but have not taken SAT, are eligible to apply for admission. For any tiebreaking purpose, such an applicant's SAT score will be treated as missing or equivalently, zero.

Through SAT and SAT Subject Tests Scores. Both are mandatory.

Before the last date of the application form, the test scores should be reported directly to IIIT Hyderabad by the college board.

The primary ranking criterion will be the total of SAT Subject Tests Scores in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.

All applicants will be ranked based on the total marks first.

In the case of a tie in total marks, the following marks (in the given order) will be used to resolve the same.

 

  • Maths of SAT II

  • Physics of SAT II

  • Chemistry of SAT II

  • Total score of SAT

  • Critical Reading of SAT

  • Mathematics of SAT

  • Writing of SAT

  • A tie after this will be resolved with an interview over Skype.

UGEE-CLD, ECD, CND and CLD programmes/NK/NTSE-KVPY

Candidates must have passed Class 12th and must have qualified for (i) NTSE, (OR) (ii) KVPY

Written test and personal interview

Olympiads

Candidates must have passed Class 12th passed in 2018 and students who have been selected for training in Science and Linguistics to represent India in International Olympiads.

Students who have selected for training in Science and Linguistics to represent India in International Olympiads.

Final selection will be on the basis of a personal interview.

SPEC Mode

Admissions will be provided to those candidates who are identified as having extraordinary talent or background such as:

  • Selection in the Central Government Scheme UDAAN

  • Studied in a six year integrated 12th standard + four year undergraduate programme and completing the second year of study in May 2018.
