HPCET 2019 – Himachal Pradesh Technical University will be conducting HPCET 2019 in offline mode on May 12. All candidates who wish to participate in the HPCET examination will be required to register tentatively from the second week of March 2019. Admissions into the participating institutes are offered on the basis of HPCET 2019 and JEE Main 2019 scores. There are certain conditions which the candidates are required to meet to be eligible for admissions into the participating institutes of the state. These set of conditions are termed as the eligibility criteria of HPCET 2019. Inability to meet the eligibility criteria will lead to the candidate’s disqualification. HPCET 2019 eligibility criteria have been listed below for the candidates:
Academic Qualification – Candidates should have qualified 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board/university. Should have studied Mathematics and Physics and compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subjects.
Marks Required – General category candidates should have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 (or equivalent) exam while candidates belonging to the reserved category should have secured minimum 40% marks.
JEE Main – Candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2019 examination will not be required to attempt the HPCET examination. These candidates will be eligible for direct admissions.
The application form of HPCET 2019 will be available in online mode tentatively in the second week of March. All candidates who wish to participate in the examination will have to fill the application form and submit it before the final date. All details to be submitted has to be valid and in accordance with the documents possessed by them.
Steps to fill HPCET 2019 Application Form
Registration – The candidates will have to enter their name, user name, date of birth, valid email address and mobile number to register for HPCET 2019. A password has to be created by the candidates. After registration, a unique form number will be generated and sent to the email id.
Filling of Application Form – After logging in using the user name, password and application number, the candidates will have to fill their personal, academic and contact details.
Uploading of Scanned Documents – The candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities.
Edit Application Form – Details have to be checked and edited (if necessary) by the candidates.
Payment of Fee – Next, the candidates will have to pay the required application fee in online (credit card/debit card) or offline mode (PNB Challan).
Confirmation Page – A PDF will be generated after the payment of fee is done. The printed application form of HPCET 2019 has to be emailed at himtuadmission @gmail.com or submitted personally in the office of the “Controller of Examinations Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur (H.P.)-177001” within a week after its generation.

Candidates are advised to check the exam pattern of HPCET 2019 to be familiar with the examination process. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to strategize their preparation well while knowing more about the types of questions asked, mode of exam, marking scheme and more.

HPCET Syllabus 2019
Another method of exam preparation that the candidates can use is to check and refer to the syllabus of HPCET 2019. The syllabus will consist of the subjects, topics and units that the candidates will have to study for the examination. By referring to the syllabus, the candidates will be able to prepare well for the upcoming examination.

Registered candidates will be able to access the admit card of HPCET 2019 tentatively in the first week of May. The HPCET 2019 admit card will consist of the various information such as examination venue address, timings and more. The candidates will be required to produce their admit card at the exam venue. Failure to bring the admit card will result in the disqualification of the candidates. Along with the admit card, the candidates will have to bring their identity proof.
How to Download HPCET 2019 Admit Card?

Himachal Pradesh Technical University will be releasing the answer key of HPCET 2019 tentatively in the second week of May. All of the correct answers to the questions asked in the examination will be present in the HPCET 2019 answer key. Using the answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their scores before the official result are announced. The candidates will have to follow the official marking scheme while comparing their responses to the correct answers. Objections will also be accepted by the authorities and the final answer key will be released after the objections are checked.
HPCET Result 2019
The result of HPCET 2019 will be declared by the authorities in online mode tentatively in the fourth week of May. The candidates will be able to check their section wise and total secured marks through the result. Using the marks, the merit list will be prepared. The candidates will also be able to check the result in the notice board of the University.
Steps to Check HPCET 2019 Result
Candidates will have to provide their name or roll number.

After checking the result, the candidates will have to download and print it out for future use.
After the results are announced, the merit list of HPCET 2019 will be declared by the admission authorities. Based on the marks secured by the candidates, the authorities will prepare the HPCET 2019 Merit List. Candidates will be listed out in the merit list according to their performance in the examination. The authorities will be releasing separate merit list for JEE Main and HP CET qualified candidates. Allotment will be done according to the merit list.
Registrations for the counselling of HPCET 2019 will be open tentatively in the first week of June. During the registration process, the candidates will also have to select their preferred course and institute for admission. It has to be remembered that 50% of the seats is reserved for JEE Main 2019 qualified candidates while the remaining 50% seats will be reserved for HPCET 2019 qualified candidates. The registered candidates will have to verify their documents. The authorities concerned will be allotting seats according to their merit and preferences selected during registration. Allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying the tuition fee at the allotted institute.
