How to Prepare JEE Main 2020 at Home: Tips by Saurabh Kumar Director Academics, Vidyamandir Classes
How to Prepare JEE Main 2020 at Home: The current health crisis has affected all sectors of the country as well as the world at large. While everything has come to a standstill at the moment, it is not possible to say when this crisis will get over. However, in the midst of this uncertainty and the imposed lockdown, we should not lose hope and keep ourselves positive at all times. As per the latest notifications from NTA and Ministry of HRD, JEE Main has been postponed due to the pandemic. While hordes of students wait patiently to hear the exact dates of these exams, things will only become clearer by the first week of May 2020.
Due to this shutdown caused by the Coronavirus, it is natural that many students might be feeling unmotivated and lost inspiration to work as hard as they were doing before. However, it will not be wrong to quote an example here that the current situation is like a very famous cricket method- the Duckworth Lewis. As per this method, the number of overs are shortened for the second team to overhaul their target. In the same vein, here the number of days for exam preparation has increased for students appearing this year while for students gearing up to appear for them in 2021 would have to be content with less time to prepare.
Students should see this as a silver lining and treat this as a blessing in disguise as they have got extra time to study and make the most of this time to work on the weak topics and do a thorough revision of class 11 syllabus. To make the students life easier in this time of difficulty, here are some quick tips that they can use to prepare for the upcoming entrance exams from home:
Make an effective timetable: Now that the students are at home, they can easily divide their timetable in a better manner and increase the study hours steadily for a strong preparation
Mock tests: Students should also take a mock test of JEE Main daily and if they don’t have the current ones, then they can attempt previous year papers. It is strongly advisable to stick to the notes and resources which the students have prepared during the past two years or so. They are advised not fall prey to free resources provided online as it will only confuse them further and could also give misleading information
Subject wise study: The subject which needs more preparation first has to be chosen and focus should be on weak points. More time should be spent on the weak topics and questions should be solved on a daily basis to overcome the challenging topics
Students who will be appearing for exams in 2021 should not get disheartened due to no classes during lockdown. They can focus on subjects such as English and the 5th subject as these subjects require less mentorship from teachers. Also, students must focus on inorganic Chemistry from NCERT as it is going to help them solve 100% questions in JEE Main. Also, keep revising class 11 syllabus regularly and work on the weak topics every day.
For JEE Main preparation, the students must include following topics in their exam preparation:
Units & Measurements.
Ionic & Chemical equilibrium
3D & Vectors
Last but not the least, I will advise all students to stay positive and not be stressed. Follow a healthy regime, indulge in an indoor sport with your family and practice meditation. We wish you all the best for your career objectives.

can I get 99+% in jee mains if I start from preparing for it from class 12 and as well as my class 11 is also not that much good...... if I can...how !??
Yes..you can..Everything is possible if one puts hardwork and determination for the goal.
Now coming to the practical process, since you have mentioned that your class 11th is weak,so i am assuming that didn't pay much attention to your studies in class 11th.Beforebgoing further into the preparation the first and foremost thing you need to do is to go back into the chapters of class 11th and study what you have missed because getting good score in JEE, you basic concepts and understanding should be very clear.Give 2 months to the class 11th portion and complete it full-fledged. After that you will be set for class 12th, now start with NCERTs and then move to the standard books.
Divide time equally for every subject or based on your preference.Devote 10-12 hours daily and note that daily means everyday because consistency is the key..you can take 1 days off after 6 days of dedicated studying.
After completing 50% syllabus, start solving previous year JEE question papers and jot down your weak and strong areas and work on it accordingly.
After completing the syllabus, give lot of mock tests honestly and analyze them afterwards.
Be positive during the preparation and take care of your mental and physical health.
Be honest with yourself and give your best everyday.
