GCET Seat AllotmentGCET Seat Allotment 2017 - DTE Goa will conduct an additional round of Goa CET 2017 admissions for offering seats into B.E. programmes across the participating institutes from August 11 to August 13, 2017. The candidates have to be personally visit the counselling venue and confirm the seat as per their merit ranks and the schedule below. Candidates who have submitted late applications (i.e. after May 26, 2017) for admissions to Degree Courses, as well as other spot applicants,  if interested in availing admissions to vacant seats remaining at the end of admission round, have to report in person by 12 noon. on August 13, 2017, with all original documents and fee payable. Based on the performance of candidates in GCET 2017, a merit list and schedule is prepared for counselling. Candidates who are ranked higher in the merit list would be given preference in GCET 2017 seat allotment over lower ranked candidates. Candidates are allowed to select seats as per their choice from the lists of seats that are available at that point and also depending on their merit list. GCET Seat Allotment 2017 Procedure:

  • Candidates need to arrive at the counselling centre as per their appointed schedule

  • They must submit the GCET Application form B/B1 along with the originals specified documents. The list is given below

  • Candidates who report late at the counselling centre will be considered for admission to seats that are available at that point.

  • Candidates ranked higher in the merit list will be given preference over lower ranked candidates.

  • If seats remain vacant after first round of counselling, such seats will be filled in subsequent counselling rounds.

  • Candidates who submit the form B/B1 and pay the fees will be given provisional admission.

  • Candidates who have been allotted seats have to report at the assigned colleges/institutes within three working days and complete all admission formalities. Candidates who miss the deadline run the risk of forfeiting their seats.

  • Candidates must complete the rest of the admission formalities by submitting the admission card and paying the balance fees at the allotted institute.

  • If reserved category seats remain vacant in a particular round, such seats will be move from reserved to unreserved category and will be open to general category candidates.

Documents needed at the time of counselling for GCET seat allotment 2017

 

Candidates who are listed in the merit list must arrive at the counselling centre as per the counselling schedule announced by DTE Goa. They must carry with them the following documents with them on counselling day:

  • Two recent passport size photographs

  • Class 12 pass certificate or its equivalent

  • Residence Certificate

  • Leaving/Transfer certificate issued by the school last attended by the candidate, and duly signed duly by the principal/headmaster

  • Birth Certificate

  • Certificate of income

  • Candidates belonging to reserved category must produce certificates issued by the competent authority

  • Domicile

  • Nativity Certificate

GCET Seat Allotment 2017: Key Points

  • Only those candidates who are listed in the merit list prepared by DTE Goa will be considered for GCET 2017 seat allotment

  • The merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in GCET 2017

  • There will be separate merit lists for different reserved categories.

  • For each merit list counselling schedules will be prepared and uploaded on the DTE Goa website

  • The first round of counselling for GCET seat allotment 2017 will be conducted in third week of June 2017
