GCET Merit List 2020 - Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa will release the merit list of GCET 2020. It will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks of GCET 2020 in Physics and Mathematics. GCET merit list 2020 will be released on the official website as well as at the notice board. The authorities will release both, the provisional as well as the final merit list. The provisional merit of GCET 2020 list will be released tentatively in the second week of June. In case GCET candidates find any errors in the provisional merit list, they should contact the authorities within 24 hours. The GCET 2020 merit list will be available in PDF format. The authorities will conduct GCET 2020 on May 5 and 6. Read the complete article to know more about GCET merit list 2020.

GCET 2020 Merit List

The admission committee will release the merit list of GCET 2020 on the official website as well as at the admission office. GCET merit list 2020 will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam. All the candidates who will be listed in the merit list will be eligible to participate in all rounds of admission. The admission will be offered strictly on the basis of the merit list. All the participating institutes will follow the merit list prepared by the authorities. Along with the merit number, the list will also contain the candidate’s name, marks of Class 12th examination and GCET 2020 score.

  • Click on the merit list link

  • The merit list will be displayed on the screen

  • Download the GCET 2020 merit list.

GCET Merit List 2020 - Tie-Breaking Method

Many times, while preparing the merit list, it is observed that marks secured by two or more candidates are equal. In that case, the authorities use the following tie-breaking methods.

  • Candidate with higher marks in GCET 2020 in Mathematics will be placed higher.

  • If a tie persists, a candidate with higher marks in Chemistry will be placed higher.

  • If a tie still persists, a candidate with aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) will be placed higher. Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher.

  • Lastly, if a tie still persists, a candidate older in age will be placed higher.

Highlights of GCET 2020 Merit List

  • The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks of GCET 2020 in Physics and Mathematics.

  • The provisional merit list of GCET 2020 will be displayed on the notice board at the Admission Centre at Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa and will also be available on the official website.

  • Candidates should check the marks and merit position in the provisional merit list. In case of any errors, candidates should contact the authorities within 24 hours.

  • Candidates will be offered seats on the basis of position in the GCET merit list 2020.

Hello  Aspirant,

The application form of gcet will be available in official website.Candidates can submit the GCET applications by end of march. Exam will be conducted on 5th and 6th of may for undergraduate courses in different colleges. Use below link for more information
