CUSAT 2013: The CUSAT CAT 2013 is an entrance test conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology to provide admission to eligible candidates to various engineering courses in the University.

The Application procedure is in two stages:
The candidate must enter all details as required in the online registration form.
A recent photograph should be uploaded (Colour only with a size of 150 x 200 pixels)
The file size for the signature and photograph should be less than 30 KB
Important: Changes cannot be made to the form once it is submitted.
A printout of the challan form must be taken to make the payment of application fees in the bank. Click here for the printout.
Payment in the bank can be made only after two working days from the date of registration.
Ensure that correct the journal number has been entered by the bank in the space provided in the challan form before leaving the bank.

Submit the form and print a copy of the application form by clicking here.
Candidates for PhD/ M Phil/ MA Translation-German & Russian / Diploma/ Certificate programmes should obtain the printed application from the concerned Departments by paying the required application fee through Demand Draft, drawn in favour of “Registrar, CUSAT” payable at Ernakulam
Candidates intending to apply for both regular B Tech programmes and Lateral Entry to B Tech Programmes are required to submit separate applications by remitting the fees specified separately for each programme.
Important details to be kept in mind while applying online:
Candidates should retain sufficient number of copies of the Confirmation Page and the counterfoil of the fee chalan for their reference
No document in original or copy need be sent to the University, unless otherwise specifically requested for.
Candidates who have applied for MBA/M Tech programmes should submit their CMAT/GATE score detail before the specified dates to avail admissions.
The register number should be quoted in all communications with the University.
CUSAT CAT 2013 Dubai Exam Centre:
Candidates who opt for Dubai as exam centre should sent a Demand Draft issued by State Bank of India or State Bank of Travancore only for Rs 10000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) drawn in favour of the Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam
This is in addition to the fee paid using challan as mentioned above.
They should also send a copy of their confirmation page
Address where the documents have to be sent: The Director, IRAA,Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi 682022. Note: The documents along with Demand Draft should reach the IRAA office on or before March 7, 2013.

Candidates are requested to check the status ten days after the final submission of the application.
If the application submitted by the candidate is not approved within 10 days after the final submission, the candidate should take necessary action as indicated in the status page.

Well I am sorry but with this rank you will not be able to get into CUSAT. The cutoffs for your preferred branches don't usually cross 1000 even for the reserved categories so a rank of 2310 doesn't come into consideration.
Maybe you should give it a shot in the next year or go for other alternatives this year.
