CBSE Normalization Procedure for JEE Main 2013
The CBSE has announced the Normalization Procedure for JEE Main 2013.
A notification has been put up explaining the normalization procedure for the JEE Main using the marks scored by students across boards to bring all on an equal footing. The JEE Main 2013 is the first stage of the common exam for engineering and architecture where students from the various states have written a common exam.
Note: Admissions to the following colleges are now open. Click on the college to apply.
Students belonging to the different boards have different parameters of marking system in Class XII. To bring them on an equal footing, the normalization procedure has been finalized.
For the current year 2013-2014, it has been decided to normalize 50% of the Class XII marks by equating the percentile among the various boards to anchor them to the All India JEE Main percentiles. The remaining 50% will be normalized by equating each board’s percentile with the JEE (Main) percentile of the respective board.
A0: will be the aggregate marks of the student in JEE Main
P: will be the percentile of each student computed on the basis of aggregate marks in his/her own Board (B0)
P will becomputed from the list of five subjects as given below (each marked out of 100).
Note: P will have to be computed among all students of the board whose subject combinations meet the JEE Main eligibility criteria
Subjects to be considered for computation of P (percentile)
Any one of the subjects Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science
Any subject other than the above four subjects
B1: will be the JEE- Main aggregate marks corresponding to percentile (P) at the All- India Level
B2: will be the JEE- Main aggregate marks corresponding to percentile (P) among the set of aggregate scores obtained in the JEE- Main by the students of that board.
The normalized board score of the candidate is Bfinal = 0.5 * (B1 + B2)

Admissions to the centrally funded Institutes:
Admissions to the centrally funded institutes are based on a combined score of the JEE Main 2013 Marks (60%) and the Class XII Marks (40%).
Computation of the composite score for drawing the merit list for centrally funded institutes:
C = 0.6 * AO + 0.4 * Bfinal

Questions related to JEE Main
Is Master Resource book by Arihant good for jee mains 2020 or DC Pandey?
There are many publications for the JEE MAIN Aspirant. First of all you have to find which book is appropriate for your level. And to test ypur level you have to complete ypur text books first. Then you may take a mock test then you will be able to realise which one is good for you. And on case of dc pandey then I must say every book is good in their own ways the actual matter is to choice the right one. Dc pandey physics is always good and best for practicing MCQs. If it is match your level then obviously go for it.
Hope for the best.
i filled wrong catagry in jee main and corrections window is closed now can i make corrections after getting admit card
ASPIRANT.Every year as National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE mains and they have given chance to candidates to do the corrections in the application form till July 31 has closed it now. So,as i can see from your query that you need to get your category changed but how ever it is not possible now and you have also downloaded the admit card .
Hope this helps.
ALL THE BEST.
i got 78 percentile in jee main january . i am from sc catergory haryana . will i get a seat in any branch except CSE in NIT KUK . my home state quota and sc quota will apply .
As far as admission to NIT is concerned there are always benefits for home state quota students. Also since your category is SC you can definitely try to apply for any of the branches which may be circutal or non-circutal in NIT KUK.
Just be sure about what you want to do and select your JOSAA preferences wisely there are always chances to get the desired branch in the end round so,
good luck and hope this helps.
