The entrance exam was held by the university on May 28 (11 am to 2 pm) for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes. The entrance test was conducted for 750 B.Tech seats. BVP CET 2017 application form was available for aspiring candidates in online and offline mode. BVP CET 2017 result can be checked online or obtained from the university offices. In order to fill the application form, candidates had to pay Rs. 1,500 as exam fee in online and offline mode. The last date for application submission of BVP CET 2017 was May 25. On the basis of merit and rank obtained in BVP CET 2017, candidates will be offered admissions into undergraduate engineering programmes. What's new in BVP CET 2017?

  • For admission year 2017-18, eligibility criteria for General category candidates has been increased to 50% aggregate marks in qualifying exam, while for SC/ST candidates it has been increased to 45% from 40%.

BVP CET Counselling 2017


BVP CET 2017 counselling will be conducted merit-wise in different slots from June 19 to June 28, 2017. Candidates need to attend the counselling for BVP CET 2017 personally on the dates specified in the counselling schedule at Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Engineering, Pune. The classes will commence from July 5. The procedure for BVP CET 2017 counselling includes the issue of the call letter, registration, choice filling, followed by reporting at the institute at the date and time mentioned. The counselling of BVP CET will take place according to the ranks secured by the candidates. Candidates will be required to be physically present at the time of the counselling and it is here that their document verification and allotment of seats will take place.

BVP CET Result 2017


BVP CET 2017 Result has been declared by the University on June 11. Candidates can log in to check their result of BVP CET 2017. Earlier the result was supposed to be announced by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in online as well as offline mode, on June 5, 2017 (At 5 pm). The offline result will be available at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University at Pune along with the designated centres in New Delhi and Navi Mumbai.


How to check BVP CET 2017 result?

  • Go to BVP CET result window

  • Click on the result tab

  • Enter your programme name and roll number

  • Click on Submit button

  • Your result of BCV CET 2017 will be displayed

BVP CET Rank List 2017


BVP CET 2017 Rank List will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in BVP CET 2017. BVP CET 2017 Rank List will be prepared after the result are announced for BVP CET 2017. The merit list for the candidates will be prepared basis the marks they secure out of the total marks in the entrance test.


Tie-breaking policy for BVP CET 2017

  • In case two or more test takers of BVP CET 2017 secure same marks in the test, then the tie-breaking policy will be applicable for preparing the rank list as the following rules:

  • Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be given higher rank.

  • If the tie still exists, then the candidate with higher aggregate marks in HSC/equivalent exam.

  • Even if after applying this method the tie is not broken, then the candidate with higher percentage in Mathematics in 10th class will be given better/higher rank.

  • If the tie still exists, then random computerised selection of the candidates will be done.


BVP CET Eligibility Criteria 2017


To apply BVP CET 2017 applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates are required to pass Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C) or Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other equivalent examination from any recognised Board/University or any school/ college in India.

  • Applicants need to have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects, along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical vocational as one of the optional subjects.

  • General category candidates must have secured 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 level exam, while candidates SC/ST category candidates with 45% aggregate marks will be considered eligible for the exam.

  • Applicants, who are appearing for the qualifying examination i. e. H.S.C. etc. in 2017 will be considered eligible to appear in BVP CET 2017, but at the time of counselling, such students are required to produce mark sheet of HSC.

BVP CET Application Form 2017


BVP CET 2017 Application Form was available now, from January 6, 2017 onwards. The application form was available in online as well as offline mode. The last date for submission of online application form was May 25, 2017.

  • Applicants are advised to be very careful while filling in the application form.

  • Applicants are required to mention correct information in the application form. Incomplete application form is subject to rejection/cancellation.

  • Applicant must use Blue/Black Ink pen to fill in the offline application form.

  • All the entries in the application form in offline mode should be filled in “Capital Letters”.

  • The alphabets or the numbers will be written in the square space given for it.

  • The name mentioned in the application form should match with the name written in the documents of 10+2 examination.

  • Applicants are required to mention the examination centre at which he/she wishes to appear for BVP CET 2017.

  • Candidates are required to affix his/her a passport size photograph at the appropriate place in BVP CET 2017 application form. Candidates are advised to use gum while affixing the photograph, not pin. The photograph needs to be attested by the Principal/Head of the Institution /Gazetted officer. The declaration in the application form must be signed both by the applicant and the mother/father/guardian.

  • The address of the applicant should be written in capital letters. Applicants should leave one box if the use of punctuation mark is required between the words.

  • Confirm by ticking whether the applicants have taken these subjects in HSC/12th standard.

Important: Applicants need not to enclose originals or photocopies of any certificates alongside the application form.


Modes of Payment of BVP CET 2017 Application Fee:


For offline application form:


Application fee should be submitted either in person (fee can be paid by cash) or through demand draft of Rs. 1700 drawn on any nationalized bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd. payable at Pune, in favour of Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune) to the following address

The application form is available in person at designated centers and at the Admission Office (address is mentioned in the next line). The candidates need to submit the completed application form along with payment of the application fee to the "Admission Office, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan,2nd Floor, Common Entrance Test Cell, L.B.S. Marg, Pune 411030 " either in person or through Post/Courier. 


For cash payment of application/test fee, the candidates have to fill up bank challan (available at the Common Entrance Test Cell) and deposit it along with the fee at the Bharati Sahakari Bank main branch on working days. A copy of the challan along with the completed application form should be submitted to the Common Entrance Test Cell after which an acknowledgement receipt will be provided to the candidate.


Important Points:

  1. Applicants are required to retain a proof of the draft and the dispatch of the application form because it will help the applicants for obtaining a duplicate admit card if required.

  2. Applicants are advised to mention their application number and their names on the back of the demand draft. The application sent by mail must be sent by registered post/speed post/courier.

For online application form:


BVP CET 2017 Application Fee of Rs. 1,700 for online application form can be paid through net banking/ credit card/ debit card.  


Important Note: For any delay or loss of the Application/Admission Card/Counselling Letter/any other communication in transit, Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune will not be responsible. The applicants have to ascertain from the university office whether the application has reached the university office or not.

BVP CET Exam Pattern 2017


BVP CET 2017 Exam Pattern give details about the marking scheme, total number of questions, nature of questions, time allotted to attempt the test, etc. Knowing about the test pattern of BVP CET 2017 helps candidates in having an overall understanding about the test and its other related aspects.

  • English language will be used as a medium for BVP CET 2017

  • There will be 200 multiple choice questions in BVP CET 2017.

  • Questions will be asked from Physics (100 questions) and Mathematics (100 questions).

  • The exam duration will be three hours.

  • Each question in BVP CET 2017 will carry 1 mark

  • There will be no negative marking.

BVP CET Admit Card 2017


BVP CET 2017 Admit Card was available for candidates who submitted their application form successfully. Admit Card of BVP CET 2017 was also sent to the candidates through post. The admit card of BVP CET 2017 displayed the candidate’s roll number, details of the exam centre venue with its address.


Note: If a candidate doesn’t receive his/her admit card of BVP CET 2017 by May 27, he/she must immediately get in touch with the concerned designated center or Admission Office, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Bharati Vidyapeeth
