BITSAT 2017 - The second round of BITSAT 2017 seat allotment result or Iteration II has been declared on July 12. The first round of seat allotment for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2017 has been published in the form of Iteration today i.e. July 1, 2017 for all the qualified candidates. BITSAT was conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering at the institute's three campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The scores of BITSAT 2017 were available from May 19. The BITSAT Slot Booking 2017 was available from March 20 to April 5. The application form of BITSAT 2017 is now over, which was available from December 29, 2016. Candidates were able to fill the application form along with fee payment till March 10, 2017. Candidates could download the revised hallticket for May 30, 2017. The correction facility was also available for all registered applicants from March 7 to March 10, 2017 (Midnight). From May 16 to 30, BITSAT 2017 exam was conducted in two slots daily, wherein the first slot was from 9 am to 12 pm and the second slot was from 2 pm to 5 pm. Candidates could opt for any one slot out of the two based on the availability. BITS had also made the mock test available for all candidates. The 30 minutes long mock test of BITSAT was available where candidates could download and take the mock test to get a better idea about the exam pattern and questions of the entrance examination.

BITSAT 2017 was conducted online for offering admissions to over 2,000 B.E. (Honours) seats. Every year, approximately 2 lakh candidates appear in the engineering entrance exam. Admit Card of BITSAT 2017 for candidates who had applied for appearing in BITSAT 2017 on a different date was available. Such candidates had to apply for exam day/ slot change online till May 25 (5 pm), 2017. These candidates had to appear in BITSAT 2017 on May 30 in selected exam centres. For that, they had to choose 3 preferences for the revised schedule of BITSAT 2017 examination, out of which at least one preference should be either Pilani or Hyderabad campuses of BITS. BITSAT 2017 actual centre (where the candidates would be appearing) had been announced on May 26, 2017. BITSAT 2017 Counselling and seat allotment is being conducted after the declaration of BITSAT 2017 result. For participating in the counselling procedure for admissions to over 2,000 seats in Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering and B.E. (Honours) programmes, the candidates have to register and fill up application form. They need to apply for admissions by filling up the application form along with 12th marks and preferences of degree programmes and institute. Counselling of BITSAT 2017 will be held simultaneously for BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Topper candidates from central or state boards have to apply separately for admission under "Direct admission to board Toppers".
The Result of BITSAT 2017 has been announced online from July 1, 2017 onwards. On July 1, BITS Pilani has released the admission list and wait list in the form of Iteration I, while the scores of the candidates were available online from May 19. BITS University will announce BITSAT result 2017 for different iterations – Iteration II, III, IV and V on different dates. The scores of BITSAT 2017 were announced just after the completion of the online entrance exam. Through BITSAT 2017 result, the candidates could check their correct and incorrect answers with scores. They could also check and print their BITSAT 2017 score report after the completion of the test.
The Cutoff of BITSAT 2017 is the minimum score that the examinees if BITSAT 2017 have to secure in order to become eligible for participating in BITSAT 2017 counselling. The university prepares a merit list of candidates basis BITSAT Cutoff 2017 for shortlisting candidates for counselling of BITSAT 2017. The cutoff of BITSAT 2017 will be determined by various factors like the number of applicants, the number of seats and difficulty level of the entrance test, etc. BITSAT 2017 cutoff score will vary from course to course and campus to campus. The Slot Booking of BITSAT 2017 was available from March 20 (8 am) to April 5. The slot booking of BITSAT involves selecting/choosing time and date and exam centre on which the candidate is convenient to appear in BITSAT 2017. BITSAT 2017 slot booking was determined by the availability of the slots for the entrance exam as per the schedule and was done on first come first serve basis. After BITSAT 2017 slot booking, the candidates were able to download their admit cards for the entrance exam.

The Admit Card of BITSAT 2017 was available for those candidates who have booked their slots for the entrance exam as per the schedule and available slots in any exam centre. Such candidates had to download their admit card of BITSAT 2017, which was available from April 15 to May 10, 2017. Candidates were advised to preserve the admit card of BITSAT 2017 till the time the admission process gets over. Without BITSAT 2017 admit card, no candidate was allowed to enter the exam centre.
The Eligibility Criteria of BITSAT 2017 specifies about the eligible conditions, which need to be fulfilled by the aspiring candidates in order to be eligible for the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria of BITSAT 2017 include factors like age, qualifying marks and qualifying exam, the number of attempts, etc.
BITSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have passed class 12 or equivalent exam (from any state or central board of school education) with 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. They also needed to have secured 60% marks separately in each of the three subjects. Proficiency in English was another requirement for appearing in BITSAT 2017.
Only those candidates, who appeared in class 12th in the year 2017 or have cleared 12th in 2016, were eligible for BITSAT 2017.
Top rankers or candidates with Rank 1 in the central or state boards in India were offered admissions to the programmes of their choice, irrespective of their score/ rank in BITSAT 2017, but must meet the aforesaid eligibility criteria.
The Application Form of BITSAT 2017 is closed now, which was available from December 29, 2016 to March 10, 2017 in online mode. Candidates were required to register themselves, fill the application form and pay the prescribed application fee of BITSAT 2017. Candidates were advised to keep a printout of the filled in application form for all future references.
The registered applicants could also edit their submitted application till March 10, 2017 (Midnight). The facility to find the application number of BITSAT 2017 was also available.

The mock test of BITSAT 2017 was available for all candidates who would be participating in the entrance examination. The candidates had to download and execute the file to access the mock test. Compared to the 3-hour long entrance examination, the mock test of BITSAT 2017 was only 30 minutes long. Divided into four sections - Physics, Chemistry, English and Logical Reasoning and Mathematics, the candidates had to select which section they want to attempt first and go on to answer the multiple choice questions. Options of skipping to other parts, marking for review, going to the next questions and completing the test were provided. The test scores were generated after the candidates select the completed button. The mock test of BITSAT 2017 could be used in the preparation for the examination.

Marking Scheme: Each correct answer was awarded 3 marks, while every incorrect answer was given -1 mark or 1 mark was to be deducted for each wrong answer. For unattempted questions, the examinees was given no marks or zero marks.
Note: In case the candidates answer all 150 questions within the given time of 3 hours (without skipping any question) could attempt an additional 12 questions (four each from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry only).

The Exam Centres of BITSAT 2017 were the venues where the online entrance exam for admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering and B.E. (Honours) was conducted.
