AMET 2020 - Academy of Maritime Education and Training will release the application form of AMET 2020 in January. AMET application form 2020 will be available in online mode on the official website of the institute. Admission in institute is offered on the basis of merit of entrance exam, personal interview and medical examination which will be conducted in April. Students seeking admission in B.Tech course at the institute need to fill the application form and qualify the AMET entrance exam interview and medical test. AMET exam will be conducted in online mode on two separate days for candidate of Tamil Nadu and outside state candidates. Students will be selected for admission on the basis of marks in AMET 2020 entrance exam and marks in qualifying exam. Students are provided below the detailed eligibility criteria of AMET 2020. Students have to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility conditions of AMET in order to be considered for admission. The eligibility criteria of AMET 2020 consists of the conditions which every applicant have to fulfill. The conditions of eligibility is as follows.
Candidates must have passed class 12 with aggregate 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry along with 50% marks in English
Candidate must be physically fit for sea service as per the norms set by the Directorate General of Shipping. Eyesight standard of 6/12 in both eyes or 6/18 in one eye and 6/9 in another eye with no colour blindness is a must.
Must have passed class 12 with aggregate 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Candidate should have passed class 12 with aggregate 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) in Maths, Physics and Chemistry
Candidate should have passed class 12 with aggregate 50% marks for open category and 45% in the case of reserved category in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Candidate must also have secured 50% marks in English either in Class 10 or 12. Boys and Girls both are eligible to apply

The application form of AMET 2020 will be available in both online and offline mode. Students can fill the application form in either mode convenient to them. The detailed procedure of AMET application 2020 is given below
AMET Offline Application Form 2020: Students who wish to apply for AMET 2020 in offline mode need to purchase the application form by paying application fees in cash or DD from the institute campus or from any of the AMET offices located in Chennai and Patna. Candidates can also get the AMET application form 2020 by sending the DD of Rs.1000 in favour of AMET Chennai. Students will get the application form through post after the respective office receive application fees DD. Details about the AMET office is given below

Offline Mode -2 : Students can also download the application form from the official website of AMET. Students have to fill the form and send it to the AMET office along with the fees in the form of Demand Draft. The application form should reach the admission office within the last date of submission of application. Note : Students who will be applying through offline mode need to retain the “Hall Ticket” which is a part of the application form.
AMET Online Application Form 2020: The online application form of AMET 2020 can be filled from the official website of the institute. Students have to fill the details like candidate name, course for which applying, examination centre, state of residence, address for communication and other details. Students must take care that every information they fill must be correct as wrong information could lead to cancellation of application form. Students will also need to pay Rs.1000 as application fees in online mode which can be paid using credit/debit card or net banking.
Submission of Application Form: Students who have applied for AMET 2020 either by online or offline mode have to send the application form to AMET institute along with the documents of educational qualification. Students have to send the following documents along with the application form so as to reach AMET within the specified last date

The institute advises students to prepare for the exam only through the prescribed syllabus of AMET exam. The entrance test will have standard questions from class 12 syllabus of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry along with basic English Grammar, Logical and Analytical Reasoning and General Aptitude. Students are advised to practise the mock test and previous year sample papers to get an idea about the difficulty level exam and other important information.
The applicants who will fill application form in online mode will have to download their AMET 2020 hall ticket from the website of the institute. The hall ticket for offline applicants is a part of application form which need to be retained while sending the filled application form. The admit card will have information about the details of the exam centre, date and time of exam, address of exam venue, candidate details like name, photograph and other exam day instructions. Students must note that they will not be allowed to appear for AMET 2020 without admit card.
The institute will announce the result of AMET 2020 in online mode in June in its official website. Students will have to check their result using application number. The institute will also release a merit list of successful candidates on the basis of marks in qualifying exam and marks in the entrance exam. Students who will have their name in the merit list will be further required to pass the medical test.
Students who will be declared qualified on the basis of marks in AMET 2020 exam will be called for counselling process. The counselling will be conducted in offline mode at the institute campus where candidates may further be required to appear for personal interviews before offering seats for admission. The institute will release a merit list of successful candidates which will be offered admission. Students will also be required to appear for a medical examination in order to be finally considered for admission.
AMET Medical Examination: Students who qualifies the written test and whose name appears in merit list have to appear in a medical examination at the institute. Students will have to pay Rs.1500 as medical fees for appearing in medical test. Students who will be declared medically fit after the test will be considered for admission.
