is Sona college of technology is a good college to study ECE,EEE and biomed engineering? how is the placement cell, companies and salary package?
Sona Engineering College is a leading college in Tamil Nadu. It has been rated AAA+ by Careers360 and has been ranked at 150th position by NIRF among Engineering colleges of India. In terms of Academics, this college gives tough competition to others. Facilties such as Separate hostels for male and female students, Canteen, well equipped library, laboratories, WiFi facilties, medical centre and Transport facilities are provided properly. The placements of Sona Engineering College is quite okay. CSE, IT, Electrical and Electronics departments have pretty good placement record. But the placement percentage is not so impressive for Civil and Mechanical. Very few core companies come for recruitment. CSE and It face around 67% placement record while it is more in case Electrical and ECE branches. Many companies come for recruitment such as Amazon, ICICI Bank, JSW Tyres, HCL, Goldman Sachs, Rally Rebar, MBIT Wireless, Aspire systems, Infosys etc offering average salary around 2 to 2.5 lpa. Dear Aspirants ,
Anna University in Madurai was established in 2010 and is ranked 12 in the latest NIRF ranking. It offers 4 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate programs in full-time mode with multiple specializations. Admission to all the courses is entrance based. Students are required to present TNEA scores for UG courses and TANCET for PG courses in order to secure admission to the college Aspirants who wish to take admission in the college have to register themselves online on the college official website and apply for the respective courses there. The institute is well furnished with all the facilities such as clubs, Libraries, wi-fi etc.to provide premier experience and learning to their students.
If we go through the placement's then it is good there some of top recruiter's are came like tcs ,Infosys, wipro ,tech mahindra etc.. with the average salary package of 3.2 to 4.5 it depends upon employer .
Sona College of Technology is a college located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The vision of the college is to become an institute of great repute, in the fields of science, applied science, engineering, technology and management studies.
- Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
- Recognized by UGC under Section 2f & 12B of the UGC Act

- It gained autonomous status in 2012
If we go through the placements then top recruiters companies are come like Vuram Technologies, Burning Glass, Infosys, Renault Nissan, Think N Solutions, Qualian Technologies, Zoho, GG Tronics, Infoview, Kaar Technologies, Vee Technologies and many more. many opportunities were open.
But if we go through the students feed back and rating of both colleges then Sona college of technology is occupied better place rather then Anna University -Madurai and placement's is also not best in this Anna university .So as per my recommended Sona college of technology is good in everything so you can choose this one for your carer .
