Is there is need to give both jee exam will my rank will be affected if I will not give the April jee mains

Vikas gehlot 27th Jan, 2020

If you can score better in JEE main April then definitely it will be an added advantage to your performance.

one thing to be noted that many of the students will appear for both exams and for them the best of the to score will be considered so somehow you will be at a disadvantage not directly.

It will be better if your performance is not good then to appear for JEE main April.  the number of candidates appeared for JEE main January are 869010. If the number of candidates increase in the JEE main April session then your rank would be not what   you calculated based on the number 869010

HELLO AKSHAY
Congartulations for your result and you have very decent chance of qualifying JEE mains.
It is very difficult to predict the actual rank since it depends on various factors.
Now your expected rank comes out to be  72492.The expected rank might change depedning on the no of candidates appearing the April session.

Since the official cutoofs are yet to be announced by coleges let us analyse your chances looking into the previous year cutoofs.
NIt trichy is one of the top 5 NITs and getting admisiion into this college requires are very high percentile . There are two types of cutoofs followed by nITs one is hOME state quota HS and Os other state quoat

NIT TRICHY
2019(ews categorey)

HS    Civil Engineering    12660  -  16766

OS    Civil Engineering    1176    -  1379

As you can see it seems very difficult for to get into this admission with the present percentile. But do worry since you have an April attempt left as you can see for the os quota yor rasnk should be under 1500 i,e is nothing but you should score 99+ percentile and mor importantly you have a ADVANCe to go which can lead directly you into IITs.

I got 89 percentile In jee mains and i am from sc category will i get cse in top NITs

Papeya Dubey Student Expert 27th Jan, 2020

Hello,

It's difficult to predict exact rank, but your estimated rank can be calculated by this formula:

(100 - your total score) X 869010 /100, which comes to be 95591. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100.

It's difficult to get into any top NITs with this rank even with reservation.

I got 72 percentile in jee mains so will I get CSE branch in good colleges in bhopal.

Aditi Amrendra Student Expert 27th Jan, 2020
Hello,

Well it will be difficult to predict your actual rank but you may calculate your expected rank by this formula 100 - your total score) X 869010 /100.As per your percentile your expected rank will be around 625597.
If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100.

You ranks is very low for getting a good college. You have less chances of getting a good college through josaa counselling but you can try through state counselling.
These are the colleges you might get based on past cutoffs:
  • G. M. Vedak Institute of Technology
  • Vidya Niketan College of Engineering
  • SSVPS's Bapusaheb Shivajirao Deore College of Engineering

You can use our college predictor know which college you might get :
