SVNIT Surat Placements
The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute Of Technology Surat has a separate placement cell that facilitates shaping the students’ careers in various fields of Technology, Engineering and Management. The SVNIT Surat placement of final-year students starts at the start of the academic year. The SVNIT Surat placement cell sends an invitation to companies in June-July every year. The companies visit the SVNIT Surat campus on an allotted day, make pre-placement talks, conduct interviews and tests, and select students for various profiles.
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat placement cell trains students and prepares them for the final placements. The SVNIT placement cell also helps students get internships in various companies and allows them to work in a real environment. It enhances their interpersonal and communication skills and prepares them for the professional world.
SVNIT Surat Placement Process
The training and placement department sends an invitation to companies.
A JRF along with the invitation is provided to get the company’s profile and information.
After getting information from companies, a schedule is prepared along with the merit list of the interested students.
The company visit the campus on an allotted day and arranges pre-placement talks, conducts written tests, online tests and interviews and selects the candidates.

85% of students get placed in various MNCs (Both Core and IT). The highest Package was 12.5 LPA, Average was 8 LPA, and the lowest was 4.5 LPA. Systra, WSP, Atkins, and ICICI are top recruiters. 48% get internships in MNCs such as WSP, Systra, and DHI and the remaining got into research institutes such as Kozhikode, CWPRS Pune, and IIT gujrat.

Approximately 90 percent of students were placed last year. The highest package offered was INR 40 LPA. The lowest was about INR 8 LPA. There are many labs for our course in electrical engineering. Electrical engineering is a good course to take here. It is a very good college

Yes, NIT, Surat is a decent enough college for Masters in Science (MSc) in physics. The colleges campus is nice, there are hostel facilities available, the placements seem adequate and the fees is around INR 84,000. Many IT companies such as Infosys, Wipro and CTS are recruiting M.Sc Physics graduates for software jobs. - One can get job in Energy Plants. - One can even apply for jobs in many companies in automobile industry such as Maruti Udyog, TATA Motors and Tech Mahindra. This college is very good because of the placements, good infrastructure, etc. Placements: Placements in our college are good. In nit surat mechanical engineering is best branch among others. Placement here is best and faculty also.
If you want a sure seat in cse branch of svnit surat, then you have to score at least above 99.6 percentile. That means your rank must be under 5000 from general category from other state quota ( i have assumed you a general category, as you haven't mentioned any ).
After acquiring your postgraduation degree, you can easily apply for jobs for various prestigious roles such as Research Assistant, Lab Technician, Field Officer, Scientist, Researcher, Accountant, Professor, Manager, Quantitative Developer, Assistant Professor, Junior Software Engineer, Statistician.

More specifically, mathematics and computing deal with the design of algorithms, the mathematics underlying a system's operation, the theory and application of computer systems, and the mathematical reasoning that underlies a program's operation.
Integrated Mathematics is applied mathematics which does not have computer system application and programming part.
